Not an awful lot in Clearwater from what we saw, the main reason to visit is the beautiful beach and amazing sunsets.

Hi, we have been a couple of times over the years and it's only a day's outing really...great beach ...good boat rides..either dolphin spotting or a large speedboat ride... have some dinner, then back on the beach for the sunset...went in nov both times, as it gets dark 6.00/6.30pm and then head back to orlando in reasonable time.. I would hate to have booked a two centre holiday there and stay for a whole week!!!!

We went in jan for the day and we only found a few shops, would hate to have spent a week there. though its worth going for the day for the beach and sunset.

The shopping Mall with the ice rink is a fair drive away from the resort, about 20 min drive if I remember rightly.
We went in summer 2002, DD(then 6) myself and parents, when we first arrived we wondered if we had done the right thing by planning a week there but soon found plenty to do including the above shopping mall, St petes, Caladsei Island, Bush Gardens, we ended up really enjoying the week.

We did a 2 centre and stayed at Clearwater for a week, I must admit I was bored at the end of it and just wanted to get back to the hustle and bustle of Orlando. We did however book a trip with Virgin to shell island to go snorkling and spotted dolphins on the way- this was a great day. DH booked a fishing trip. Took a ride on the Jolly trolley-the driver pulled over to eat his sarnies, not at all worried that he had a bus full of people lol. Pier 60 was very beautiful at sunset, lots of little stalls. I would only visit again for the day though.
