Hi guys

Wonder if anyone can tell me what the best Airboat place in and around the Orlando/Kissimmee area is please.

I went on one before as part of the KSC tour but can't remember who it was.

Boggy Creek seems to be one of the most popular ones. Was thinking we could combine this with our day at Gatorland.

Any ideas/links etc

Cheers

Boggy Creek would be the best option and sounds a good idea to combine it with Gatorland as that is only a half day attraction. There is a place along the 192 about 1 mile past Medieval Times on the right where you can hire and drive your own small airboat or a small electric boat.

We love the other Boggy Creek site at Southport Park down Poinciana Boulevard.

We agree with Notgrumpy - Boggy Creek is well worth a visit - especially if you see an alligator - we did but my DS didn't think it was alive!!

agree that boggy creek is worth a visit. You could make a day of gatorland and an airboat ride as boggy creek has both daytime and night time rides. Check it out at http://www.bcairboats.com/index.html

Hi brindle,

Yes they are easy to find - just travel down Poinciana Blvd/Southport Road right to the end. It is well signposted.

We took an airboat ride last year with Airboat John. It was about an hour's drive from Kissimmee but it was a lovely run - to a little place called Christmas - which is decorated all year round with Xmas Dex! Airboat John's website is www.airboatrides.com - he reminded us of Hulk Hogan - was a great host and had lots of local info from him. Interestingly enough he has NEVER visited any of the Disney parks!!

We had about an hour and a half on the airboat - saw lots of alligators and the ride itself is an experience.

One word of warning though - empty your tanks before going - there is one portaloo at the place where you meet the boat - and believe me, it stinks!!

Thanks WackoJackoUK I was just going to ask this question myself.

We hired a small electric boat, near the Walmart 192, because there was six of us we had to, the Airboats only seated 5.
It was a nice little place with lots of wild life....No gators though:(

Boggy creek looks great, but how many do their airboats hold?

East Lake Fish Camp at Boggy Creek is where we always go. It`s an amazing experience and we`ve always seen plenty of wildlife including `gators!! Love the name WackoJackoUK by the way. Priceless!! ;-)
