Hi :wavey:
Just working through the questions lol, as its our first trip to WDW we would like to book a trip to the KSC with transport is it worth us prebooking say with Viator before we go or is it cheaper and/or easier to book a trip when we are over there. (perhaps through Virgin when we are there?)
Any suggestions welcome :)

Good question - we can't work out what to do yet either. Interested in the responses you get.
Actually I wouldn't bother, and to see KSC it can be done all in one day, but it's less of a rush if you do it over 2 days (the Imax cinema's are a must, yet we only had time for one movie, we got there a little bit late (it was a longer drive than we thought!), but by the time we got to the saturn five trip we were almost on the last bus, we didn't see the shuttle part of the complex, nor the hall of fame, so next time we are going to allocate two days to this.
Also for the real plane buffs there is a museum, flying field on route to KSC, which we never got to see either, so next time we go back we will do that and get a two day ticket for KSC (nearly as cheap as a one day at the door) and do the field and the hall of fame one day, and KSC the next.
You can do KSC in one day, but it would be a long one ie early to late, so next time we plan to find a motel for the night and then return back to the villa the next day.

ITs usually cheaper to buy before you go ...if you are not in a hurry keep an eye on the ticket websites as they often do special offers on these tickets..we had max access passes for the price of the standard (I think it was from Attraction Tickets Direct) last year.
I think you would get better prices from the dedicated ticket websites, than through TAs such as Virgin or TCD, as these ticket sites are highly competative.
Also if you get real tickets, rather than vouchers, this will save you queueing at the kiosks whick can be quite lengthy.
I would recommend the dine with the astronaut lunch - we thought it was good value (especially if you consider you are likely to have to buy lunch there anyway) and it was really interesting/entertaining.......good for kids and anyone with an interest in space.
We didn't get it all done in one day..possibly because the astronaut lunch does tie you to staying around the main area till early afternoon (the only downside) so we didn't have as much time on the tour bus areas as we'd have liked.
Don't miss the Tom Hanks IMAX (there are 2 IMAX films)- superb.:d:

We booked it over there through Virgin and it was more expensive than booking it at home!!!! :nonono:
We were deposited there, when the doors opened, which was great and then worked out a plan straight away, we managed to look at all the rockets, see one IMAX film, do the big bus tour one that lasts 2 hours, see the shuttles, then do the other IMAX film, some shopping, before being picked up and taken to the the Astronauts Hall of Fame.
There is a lot more to do there, other shows and stuff, so you need to decide what you want to do beforehand and see how much you can fit in, whether it is worth booking before you go on a one day trip, or doing two days whilst you are there. It is between 45 mins to 1 hour drive, depending on the traffic.
We enjoyed it and the tour company that Virgin use, were great :thumbs-up

We did the Virgin trip too and booked before we went. There were still places left to be booked onsite, but I think it's more expensive out there.
Virgin drop you off at opening, so you're on the first buses out to the sites if you're quick. This means you start the tour earlier and the crowds are all behind you. I suggest you get the bus tour out of the way before you have to queue for them and do all the main area attractions when you get back. We went in February and easily managed to fit it into about 5/6 hours. In Summer it takes a bit longer but it's doable, plus it's not as hot as the theme parks because a lot of it is indoors- heaven!!

Hi any idea how much it is to prebook with Virgin and which companies supply real tickets not vouchers.
Thank you
