:erm: People keep commenting "ooh that's going to be fun, 2 weeks in a the same room with two little ones, you'll be up at 4am every day!" Please tell me it won't be that bad??
Have visions of us at MK car park before everyone else, a la National Lampoon at Wally World!! :d:
They will probably be so tired that they will sleep in longer! And if you are there early means you get to the front of ther queue!! :pgig:

LOL - check out the first few days of our 2005 trip report - I think DD was up at 2:00am the first day raring to go, it on got slightly later each day after that but took 3-4 days before it became anything like a decent hour :erm:
Make sure you have some food and drink in the room as nothing will be open that early and they are bound to be hungry and you could probably use some caffeine

I guess it depends on you and your kids, but we always share a room with ours. We are up very very early on the first morning, and usually visit IHOP because it's open all night, and then Walmart for the same reason, but that would happen whether we shared a room or not, if the kids are awake then they will come and find us!
In the evenings we just all watch tv together and they fall asleep when they are ready, usually pretty early to be honest. I've never sat in the dark, or hid in the bathroom or any of the other things you might hear.

We always share a room with our DD who is now 8 and have done so since was really tiny not only in Fl but on holiday in the UK as well. It is not a problem. She sleeps through TV etc etc. Once she's gone off it would take an earthquake to wake her!! In the morning if she wakes up she reads or plays with her DS until someone else is awake. You will love it.
We stayed in the Renaissance at Seaworld last September with a then 3 1/2 and 21 month old.
I had similar concerns but in all honesty by the time we got back to the hotel (usually 9.00pm ish) they were beat and just fell into bed. We had to wake them up in the morning at 7.00am to get them ready and out (us up before them - an absolute miracle for my kids believe me....)
So if our nutters can manage it, you'll be fine :d:

Snap! DD will be 10 on our next trip and we have never, ever had a problem sharing a room with her! We usually go back to the room and watch tv in bed and she'll be asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow - unless, of course, the Disney channels on!:d: And as for waking up early, there's only one person in our hotel room who's up at a ghastly hour desperately trying to wake the rest of the family up so we can get moving - and that's me!!! You'll often find me wandering the grounds at 5am on those first few days, willing everyone else to get up!:d: I'm worse than a child! My friend and i are planning on taking our DD's (no men) in 2008 and we will be booking a family suite! The eldest two will be 11 and the youngest 6! The thought of all three of them in one room with us is a nightmare!:omg: The hotels charge about $15 a night for a roll out bed to accommodate a fifth person but it doesn't cost much more than this for a two room suite - to keep our sanity in check!!!:pgig: :pgig: :pgig:
this is essentially why we usually choose a house or villa... yes, the kids are tired, especially when younger, but there's no where to escape if you want to watch a bit of TV after they've fallen asleep.. and, as mine are older now, they fight like heck and refuse to share a bed, so.. we go without them!:D ;)

When our boys were younger we always shared a hotel room with them - they were knackered by the end of the day and usually went to sleep earlier than normal. It was no problem at all. :wavey: :wavey:

I always get up before anyone else in my family...and I'm 36.
I'm a bit like the couple in that Disney advert. I'm up and raring to go but I have to sit around waiting for everyone else :erm:
We find that at Disney at least, we were getting home at around 10-11pm every night with the kids absolutely exhausted. They'd go straight to sleep and we'd have to wake them again the next morning so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Let's face it, if the worst comes to the worst you are going to get extra time at the park and in the resort. ;)

in 2004 we shared a hotel room with our 2 daughters who were then 9 and 7 and we found we had to wake them up everyday. We had no trouble sleeping and neither did they.

we shared a hotel room with 2 kids aged 1 and 3 last year for 16 nights, it was fine. They fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow and so did ours. If we had wanted to watch some Tv though after they had fallen asleep it didn't bother them. We are staying in a villa next time though, mainly because we want the facilities to feed the kids what they want when they want, and also to have a bit more space for when we want to chill out, plus our own pool and jacuzzi. Plus everyone raves about staying in a villa so want to check it out
I would take our two and stay in a hotel with them again though without a second thought.

:d: It will be exactly like that the first day. After that they will be so shattered you will be having to wake them up. I'm sure it will be fine.

the kids will be so tired and worn out from all the running around and fun they had the previous day, they will sleep till a reasonable time.
my youngest sister is usually up at the crack of dawn, but in florida she slept till 7... might not seem that late, but for us it was ... :) lol
