We went in 2002 on the way back from Daytona Beach. We went on the tour and there was plenty to do and it was quite enjoyable. Not sure about being able to sit in cars though and don't think you were allowed to drive. Think there were cars to look at and some other stuff we didn't see. Don't think we could have spent the whole day there though.
If you want to drive, have a go at the Richard Petty driving experience at WDW. I've heard that is very good.:pgig: :pgig: :pgig:

We visited Daytona from Orlando because a mate of mine who was with us is a big racing fan.
Although I am not really 'in to' motor racing I too still enjoyed the visit although it's not an all day activity.

Daytona is more of a good way to spend a couple of hours on the way to/from the beach. Its a huge place and you can take an escorted minibus tour of the circuit and see the visitors centre. The Richard Petty experience looks brilliant, Im a keen rally driver and I would love to do it but it is VERY expensive, I think it was around $1000 for the day so get saving if you fancy it.
