We have a spare day and wondered if Daytona was worth a visit. Been to St petes and Clearwater so we were wondering if it's worth the drive and whats there?

not much. They have a beach you can drive along or hire a quad bike or a petrol golf buggy (expensive though) and they had the racetrack if your into that. Apart form that there is nothing there.

Agree really - not a lot in the main town (apart from Kmarts and Target etc lol :) ) - We always go in March but then bike week is on and it is so busy and we love it there - it is an annual trek.
There is a speedway museum which is quite interesting if you are into cars and you get to go round the track but not a lot else there.
If you're into motorbikes you'll love it, you'll see some fantastic bikes there. The beach is interesting, you seem to walk miles and get nowhere.
It is OK for a day away from the parks. Driving on the beach on quads is good fun and there are a few shops to look round. However, I would say Coca beach is much better

What about the Edison-Ford (http://www.edison-ford-estate.com/)estate in Fort Myers, its a bit of a drive, but a really interesting day out, including a trip along the river in an electric boat.

We went to cocoa last year and didnt see much there apart from the beach (which was gorgeous) but hardly any shops at all???? and we were lead to believe cocoa was a shopping haven !

THought I would bump this as I am also interested after looking at the DAytona website.
Have a 10 month old and a 3 year old would clearwater be better?
We always go to the Gulf Coast for the day and St. Pete`s is our favourite. Out of Daytona and Cocoa Beach, I`d chose Cocoa. :-)
