View Full Version : Disneyland Paris booking office
I'm as mad as a hornet! .
When I booked for DLP in December I checked and made 'Zak' go an check about the passes included with the offer and he assured me that you got the passes for 4 days not just 3. You can not book online with the transport (Eurostar) and I did not have a brochure on me (don't know if they were even out then).
You guessed it, the confirmation arrived this morning, stating 3 days passes. I rang to speak to a supervisor and all she could say was, you have been misled. The 4 for 3 offer includes park passes for an extra day but not the 3 for 2. Now that is really sensible. They are prepared to do nothing about it and say I have to write in or fax if I want to take it further.
So that means an extra £65 to buy 1 day passes for the 3 of us, as there is no way we wouldn't be able to go in for a day.
I have had problems with them before, but if you haven't got anything in writing tough luck # #. #. #This attitude stinks.
I am going to fax and see what reaction I get and will let you know.

Not very nice of them - things like that make me mad .
Let us know if you get any joy
It's so annoying when people are unhelpful.
Do keep us posted as to how you get on.
Hi guys,
Well I sent my fax at about 10.30 am this morning, no reply so far.
I will probably give them until Monday and the ring for a response.
OPPS!!!! Bet that confused you, still logged in as Dana to check her signature. Good isn't it? (thanks Stu . )

More fingers crossed here for you, good luck.
. . .
Good luck with your "quest". Doesn't it make you feel like you've been conned! . .
Who did you book with so I make sure to give them a wide berth? When I went to DLP last year we had terrible trouble with the company I used (City Cruiser Holidays) the dates and prices they advertised on the net were wrong, and they wouldn't honour them, then we got there we had only been booked in for 2 nights not 3 and the tickets for the park were a day short as well. It took several phone calls back to the UK (on my own phone and because it was bank holiday in the UK I struggled to get hold of anyone) to get it shorted, all very upsetting. And several letters/ phone calls to get any compensation from them. While talking to the staff at DLP they said that this was not uncommon with people coming from the UK, it seems that companies book block accommodation from DLP and then sell it to us; unfortunately things often get mixed up between the UK company and DLP. They recommended using the official DLP company as it cuts out the middle man less things to go wrong.
It was the Offical DLP comany.
I had a phone call and they basically told me to get stuffed.
My cat has been very ill, so I haven't given it much more thought. I got really mad about this and have the name of the Director if I want to take it further.
Even though I didn't have the winter brochure nor was using the web site abd they only way to book with transport is to ring them; because it is well documented in the brochure and the web site, they are not interested. The worst bit is that if I cancel I WOULDN'T get a complete refund (only deposit paid), that made me really made (being tearful upset).
I wanted to cancel there and then on a matter of principle, but then I thought of Dana. Then again, I could probably got a lot of other places at that time of year for £800.

That is just not acceptable, is it. I would definitely take it further.
Sorry to hear your cat has been ill.

Its just not on, hope you can get it sorted. ((hugs)) to your cat from ours (Cleo), hope its better soon.
We booked with Cresta, and got back from DLP last Friday, and I couldn't fault them.
Well, I have sent a second fax to Jay Rasulo the Director at DLP, so lets so what result that gets.
After Theo being so ill, I wondered if it was really worth fighting about and then I thought YES, I am not making it up, they have an appalling attitude.
The thing is if they still say 'tough luck' do we still go? I know it is where Dana wants to go, but the principle thing is really bugging me.

Hi Theresa -
that is really annoying, we were on the 4 for 3 deal last year, and got the pass for all 5 days, so I would have assumed it was the same for everyone.
It's not really an answer - but what time will you be arriving on the first day? We didn't get to the hotel until really late, and we only made it into the park for an hour that night - Maybe you could go to Disney Village, and have a meal at Planet Hollywood or Rainforest Cafe, or see the Buffallo Bill show, and not use a park day on that first evening? Just a thought.

Hi Bev,
We are on the early Eurostar about 9.30 am, so we should be there by around 2.30 pm.
Can't image being able to keep Dana out of the parks and we have even more time on the last day.
I have yet to receive a reply. I was giving them a week, as it was the boss my last fax went to.

Hi Theresa -
no 2:30 is too early - I would also want to be in the park. We landed at the airport around 3, but with all the baggage/bus/checking in etc, we weren't at the park until nearly 7. The Eurostar is much easier.
I hope you can get it sorted out.
Bev
