Airboat ride - is it suitable for a five year old?

Thinking of doing an airboat ride - is it suitable for a five year old. He's not that adventurous with new things. Does it take your breath away and is it VERY noisy?

Which company do you recomend and are they close to Orlando?

We went to Boggy creek, my boys were ,6&8, they loved it. It is noisy, but you are given ear protectors to wear - so it isn't if you see what I mean :) We saw 4 gators & the boys took turns to sit up in the seat next to the 'pilot' .

How far away is Boggy Creek? How long is the boat trip? Could you do the whole thing in half a day?

You can do it in half a day - we were there in January and took our sons 3 & 4 on it - they loved it!!:d:

The only difference when taking children was that they had top wear life vests. Mine also loved it.

Karen, try to get there early in the morning, apparently you see more gators - also less chance of having to wait your turn. We got there at opening and were the first there, but there were 2 other families waiting when we left.
