Mount Dora

Has anyone been to Mount Dora? how far away is it and what can you do there.

it's about 40 mins away, along the i4 north until you reach altamonte springs and then turn left signposted apopka, about 12 miles along this road. it is a replica new england village on the lake side. there are quaint shops to look round. a board walk alongside the lake and as you aproach the turn off into mount dora there is an antiques and flea market called renningers, open saturday and sunday. we usually go on a saturday and combine renningers with a look round the village. there used to be a steam train that ran between various points but it depends on the state of it's finances as to wether it is running or not. :(
