Has anyone bought sunsuits in florida. THey are sort of like swimsuits that have long sleeves and legs with an amount of uv protection in them.
They are quite expensive over here and also there isnt much choice was wondering if anyone can help. buying for a 3 year old dd and 10 month old dd.

have you tried asda? they have some in for girls but i didn't have a look at how much they are as they were too small for my DD. Also next have started to sell them and depending on the size they are all under £17

Also, try Matalan and NEXT. Have seen them in both of these stores.

I don't think you will find them in Orlando, not something I've ever seen out there. I bought one for my dd when she was 3 but she wouldnt' wear it, she found it too hot and she was self conscious as none of the other kids where wearing them

We bought ours over here, Adams, Next and Bodun all sell them as does Lion in the Sun (http://www.lioninthesun.com/) You could also check e-bay as they are often sold on there.

Also make sure you check the label as they do not always have uv protection.
DMIL got some for my two boys but they were cheaper ones and didnt provide any protection from the sun.
Just bought one for £11 in Boots. They're £10 in Adams I think. Its worth getting the next size up so they're easier to get on the kids!

I always go for the two piece suits for this reason rather than the all in one with the zip up the front. The two piece seem to be more comfortable
I tried to get them in orlando in 2004 with no luck but have just bought one from Matalan i think about £6 and bought a 2 piece from pumpkin patch for about £8 and they do mail order. One of mine is a red head and as white as a sheet and they are excellent for him also P20 which you can get duty free is excellent for children you put it on in the morning leave for 90 mins and it lasts all day very clever stuff !

Only thing is I found P20 stained my clothes and waiting for 90 mins is a pain in the a***! I use Piz Buin. They do a once a day range which you put on and only wait a few mins. It lasts up to 6 hours and is waterproof so you can swim as much as you like and don't have to reapply. It also comes in a number of different factors. Soltan have also brought out a similar range which lasts up to 10 hours but is only good for up to a 40 min swim.

I agree with this - we used the Piz Buin once a day factor 30 on the kids and they didn't get burnt al all, even when we spent the entire day at a water park :thumbs-up
