We are going to Fl again in Oct, and this year there will be 4 of us. We have stayed in the same 4 bed villa on our last 2 visits, but because of a poor experience with the pool heating we will not be returning to this villa.

I have been looking around, and see some good reports about Regal Palms which seems to be basically a villa without a pool, but with 2 heated pools, a couple of slides and a small lazy river, and it is showing prices of £420 per week.

A colleague has advised me to hang on until the last minute and get a very good deal booking a villa, which he always does, but I don't know if I have the bottle to wait that long?

Do you ever get a very good deal for booking a villa early?

Has anyone any experience of Regal Palms, or any experience with last minute booking of villa's?

Thanks for any advice.

Just returned from Regal Palms, they are not Villas but town houses, ours had three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a lounge and open plan kitchen area, not really much difference from a villa. The pool area is lovely, there is also a Gym, a spa with a sauna and steam room and a indoor and outdoor jaccuzi, the jaccuzi is as hot as a bath really lovely. I would definatley stay there again no pool heating to pay for and if you have kids there is more for them to do after you return from the parks.

we stayed at regal palms this xmas we had a great time the townhouse was faultless and the clubhouse and swimming pool were really good ,but we found it annoying that we coudnt sit outside and relax after a day out because theres no seating and no real patio area wear you can sit.We really enjoy that part of the holiday after a day out that you can come home and chill by your own pool and it really was a downer for us.It was the first time we havnt stayed in a villa and the last .We would rather pay more if need be and stay in a villa.Regal palms is a nice place to stay just not for us.Try this website for villas etc...www.villas2000.com
