Hi First of no laughing,smirking or sniggering please:( I have a voucher to the ride along at Richard Petty and today I was looking it up as I was bored and I found out that the doors are welded shut and u need to climb in via the window, now I'm not exactly slender, I'm only 5 foot 7 and weigh little under 17 stone and unfortunately it aint all muscle:eek: anyone done this ride and how difficult is it to get in the car?, and yes I know a few now have an image of me stuck in the window and that ain't nice so erase it now:o so what do u advise take the chance of mortal embarresment and lifetime of shame or give it a miss?

You make me chuckle.........DH did this a few years ago and like you is not on the slender side as you put it lol. Yes the doors are welded shut and you do have climb in through the window - he is 5ft 8 ish and about the same weight as you and honestly he loved it and i promise he fitted easily through the window - i have this vision in my head now lol

Getting in the car is easy enough, I found getting out more of a challenge.

Nothing to worry about, even NASCAR drivers sometimes need a hand.
You just hold out your arms and two guys will haul you out so you can fall onto the track - at least that's how I did it. :D
