Has anyone been to BBR recently. Wondered if there was any sign of the new road linking it to the 192 being open soon.

Yes I did see that but this is a different road - not sure if it wont link with that one though - sense of direction not my best point (non driver) but this one runs from Bahama Bay Resort onto the 192.:)

I'm glad I looked at this. We go to Bahama Bay in March 07 (having last visited in June 05) and I must say a connection to the 192 would be useful. However if it means missing JTs we might stick with the original route!
Hiya Got back from Bahama Bay last Friday and the new road connecting it to the 192 is nowhere near ready. HTH Karen
Heather I am not sure you will miss JT's by using the new road but don't quote me on it .

Sorry being thick, what's JT's? hate to think I might be missing something!!!!!!!
It is a great family style restaurant on the 192 where service is good and staff pleasant . Food is very good value for money and the games room is ideal for families.

You're right Dismum - JT's is great. We first went in 1996 and when we finally went back to Orlando last year (staying at Bahama Bay!) we couldn't wait to see if it was still there. It was and it was still great. My boys loved the jam jar glasses, the staff were as friendly as ever and the burgers and coleslaw were great! Can't wait to go back next year.

Have just got back from BB and thought the raod was done? we turned right out of BB drove a few miles down the 27 and turned straight onto the 192? nerver had any problems or delays - or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Saraog -The road people mean is the other side of BB so you would turn left out of there away for the 27 ,and then left again and up to the 192 .

Hi saraog
Whats the congestion like on the 192? It was pretty bad over the Easter hols
Hi
Just got back from a villa at westridge last week, and I have been looking at the Bahama Bay resort for next year. Is it any good if you have been use to a villa. We are thinking of going for 3 weeks so it would keep the cost down.

We really liked Bahama Bay - as you can see we are going back but I can't really help with comparisons to a villa because I have never stayed in one. I think the biggest difference you will find is not have your own pool but the facilities in the condos at BBR are excellent.
A work colleague of mine tried to book BBR for next year and was told there is no availability

Just to add that was with TCD - there may be availability with other companies or booking direct.

:) HI
We did not experience any congestion at all whilst we were there - must have been lucky by the sounds of things - and Bahama Bay was lovely would thoroughly recommend it to anyone and everyone. For the person that said his friend had been told it was fully booked - we met a guy when we visited and he owns 10 of the Condo's he has availability and I beleive if you look up Bahama Bay on ASK his is the first one that is listed his name is Gary and he is from Essex - hope this helps

Dave, we have done both, and both are fab in their own way. We stay in our own villa every time now but would not hesitate to use BB again if we didn't have the villa. It depends on how many of you are travelling really, a villa does offer the extra space and of course you have your own pool. Depending on the time of year the pools at BB can get a little crowded. But the onsite facitilies ie the bar and restaurant are brilliant if you don't want to drive. In terms of facilities the condos at BB have the same as you would find in a villa, eg washing machine, drier, dishwasher etc, but if you need extra space then a villa would be better. Many villa owners offer a discount for a 3rd week. But if you are thinking of booking BB I would definatly book direct with an owner, you will save loads.
