View Full Version : Villa Changed Owners
I've rented a villa in Hampton Lakes for my trip in 5 weeks. I booked it over the phone with the owner rather than through an internet site.
I've just been onto their website and it's changed-the web page has been 'done up' and the owners names and contact details have changed.
I've emailed both the new people and the woman i booked it from to check everythings ok.
Do you think I should be worried
(i'm hoping not-i booked it for 9 people and weve paid in full)

I would think you booking is safe providing the new owners of the villa getting the payment for your stay in the Villa
A simple letter or statement from the new owners on the Villa web site would put peoples mind at rest who have made bookings and paid a deposit or in you case paid in full to the old owners.
I would be asking for a new booking from from the new owners and confirmation that you have paid in full for your stay just to cover yourselves.
what about the deposit who is holding onto that :confused2
Hope it all works out OK for you :thumbs-up

You should all be ok but think its bad that the people you booked through haven't told you if they have sold .I would ring the new owners and get them to confirm your booking and the price in writing just for your peace of mind.

The old owners should have told you it had been sold. A lot of places are sold wit the weeks booked too, so don't be overly worried, I would contact both sets of owners and clarify the situation more for peace of mind that anything else.
Hi, I've emailed both the new and old owners. The original owners have got back to me advising they sent me a letter to confirm change of ownership but that my booking will not be affected
I'm waiting to hear from the new owner but apparently they're in florida at the moment, so I'll give them time to get back to me.
Hope it all works out for you, who knows if they have taken the time to update the website and re-vamp it, maybe you will get a re-vamped, better villa!
