Just wondered whether people that stayed in a villa cooked whilst they were away. We are staying in a Villa next yr and i don't plan on doing much cooking apart from maybe the odd breakfast, will want to eat out.
What about everyone else?

When we are on holiday I refuse to cook - its my holiday just as much as everybodyelses. I do enough cooking at home so to have somebody else to do it makes it more of a holiday.

We cook near enough every breakfast and evening meal. Think we had evening meal out or takeaway about 4 times ! I find that after eating lunch out I just can't cope with one more takeaway meal!
Definitely don't cook! There's so many wonderful places to eat that I just couldn't bring myself to do it; a major part of our holiday is the food!

I cook quite alot in a villa. Only simple stuff (pasta etc - not three course dinners) it suits us as sometimes we can't be bothered to go out and it's relaxing to spend some time at 'home' around the pool or chillng out.

We did cook most night but OH loves to cook so it was his responsibilty!!!
We stayed at the villa most evenings because we had a 6 month baby but next time we go out there I expect we will be out lots more in the evening! Better budget more spending money!!!

No, I never cook while away, I'm on holiday the only thing I do is breakfast occasionally and that would be cereal and toast or bagels

We have breakfast, but un-cooked, doughnuts, muffins, cereal etc.
I often make up sandwiches etc.to take a picnic to the parks.
We do eat out mostly, but somedays it's nice just to go "home" and chill out, on these days I make pasta, salad, or warm up a pizza. We have also had really nice whole cooked chicken from the deli counter.
And most restaurants do carry-out of the full menu, so you can pick that up on your way home, or have stuff delivered when you're feeling really lazy!
So not much real cooking, but it's nice to have the option.
It's also great to have a huge fridge/freezer box for all your drinks, ice cream etc! We tend to eat out quite early with the kids, so when we go back to the villa it's nice to have some booze in for the evening!

We will be staying in a villa for the first time this year but it was only on the understanding that all meals including breakfast will be eaten out. I do enough cooking at home and for me eating out for 2 weeks is a big part of my holiday.

will do things like toast and cereal and maybe pasta at a push.
But even though we have a 10 month old and a 3 year old we will mostly eat out, or get it to go.
Much more range of food to go in the US than over here.
That way I can settle the kids and if it cant be delivered then DH can go and get it. I can be pouring the beer for their return.:D
we tend to do breakfast , sandwiches and crisps on pool days . I get frozen nuggets and chips for emergencies if kids are tired and have fallen asleep when we wanted to go and eat. Also just a little tip in villas is to buy those small bottles of water either fill the empties with juice or water , freeze them and take them to the parks in a cool bag along with a big bag of crisps. The drinks melt throughout the day and it is so much cheaper than buying them on site.

we have breakfast every morning, it's not cooking though, just cutting up fruit and pouring yoghurt on it
Every night DH loves to BBQ so that is what we do, I make the salad he cooks the meat and fish and we drink a lot of beer around the pool, it's bliss I can't wait :tounge:
We cook our own meals most days. We always have a good breakfast of cereal, pastries, toast, waffles or pancakes (or all of them!). Then we just dump everything in the dishwasher, and take a big picnic lunch out with us to the parks. If we don't eat out that evening (we only tend to eat out about 5 times) we have a "proper" meal. It never tastes the same as it does at home tho? Dunno if it is the electric ovens or the strange ingredients. This yr we will take our own Colemans shedherd pie mix! We even manage a Sunday roast.
Eating at the villa really does save money, and means we can spend on "special" meals, like character meals.

We get cereals and fozen pancakes/waffles in for the days we hit the parks early - other mornings we eat out.
We rarely cook - I think we only did one full meal last time when did steaks - but we do get take outs - chinese/Outback/cooked food from Walmart
We do get in lots of snacks though - drinks, bread, salad, ham, crisps, beer & wine for lazing by the pool.

I've never cooked in a villa/condo. Usually have cereals/toast/muffins in a morning, but if we have eatern at 'home' on the odd occasion, it has been takeout pizza/pasta/chinese. We did once (when the boys were very young) buy a frozen kids meal from Publix and warm that up, if you call that cooking.

Much the same as everyone else, when on holiday why cook!!
We tend to buy loads of cereals and bagels for breakfast, ooh and lovely coffee to put in the coffee maker in the mornings.
We also buy sandwich stuff for the kids, ham cheese and of course grape jelly!
We eat out most evenings or if in the villa we buy take-out or have a delivery;)
Also Wal-Mart do nice cooked chickens and have a lovely selction of salads so we do that as well.
Also we stock the fridge up with loads of mini bottles of water and juices for the parks, saves a load of $$.
Don't for get the candies and micro pop-corn as well!

We eat out a lot but we also bring the odd Wendy's back.
Last time we did a few BBQ's and combined this with cocktails and poker evenings.
We also had a waffle maker at the villa and bought some waffle mix from walmart, they were very easy to make and lovely especially with some fresh fruit (if you have any left over from the cocktails the night before)

We used to go out for every meal but realised that a brekkie in the villa saves so much time and you get to the parks earlier..
we tend to eat all our other meals out unless we have a bar b cue as that is not the same as 'cooking' imo
that said after going to Orlando for 13 years I think the service and food in the mid price bracket has deteriorated so we may eat in more this year, but I doubt it will be cooking, more delhi counter food . and maybe a few pounds of snow crab legs .. Mmmmm they are gorgous

Depends how we are feeling, although it is a wee bit different for us as it is home but somedays we cook breakfast, others we get a drive through mcDs, well Mr CDV goes and picks it up or wego out to the local Dennys.
The other good catering aspect of the villa is you can make light lunches and buy drinks from the supermarkets and take that with you during the day. In the evening, we sometimes cook, or get a home delivered Chinese, or Pizza and the likes.
There are so many convenient meals in the likes of Publlix there is not much involved really, we know our American friends everything is designed to be quick and easy...and it is great for timesaving!

Don't cook - eat out! Plenty of family restaurants like Cracker Barrell, Perkins, IHOP, Outback, TGI Fridays, Sizzler, etc, etc, etc...

No real cooking for me. Breakfast is cereal / muffins and coffee and very occasionally if DH, DD and I bring a Subway back for dinner I will cook pasta for DS but that's about it.

We tend to just buy stuff for breakfast, mainly croissants and waffles, although we have had some meals, such as sandwiches if its a lazy day or a pizza, although we tend to order a take away one.
Or freezer is filled with ice cream and microwaveable fries, and the fridge with orange juice, mountain dew and milk.
the cupboard or pantry looks as below...lots of crisps, cookies nd cakes.
