Can anyone tell me if it is worth doing the dolphin nursery. Also what does it involve. I would love to be able to touch the dolphins, but unfortunately we are not able to afford to go to Discovery Cove:cry:

dolphin nursery is just a small holding pool where they grow up. There is no interaction here you ned to be at the main dolphin area to stroke them.

We tried that last time and none of the dolphins got near enough to us to be able to touch them:cry: and DD's got upset:cry: Thanks though, we will have to hope that we are lucky this time.

Try going when its feeding time. You can buy fish to feed to them and you will get close enough to be able to touch them. its enought to bring a tear to your eye. There is also someone taking photos, We got a great one of DS(5 at the time) feeding and stroking a dolphin.

Thanks Jo, will definitely try that.
Helen, as deano say's the dolphin nursery is just a holding pool where the pregnant dolphins and there young are kept, there is no interaction and there is a big barrier to stop you getting too close.
If you want to feed or touch the dolphins you can do this at Dolphin Cove, which is around the side of the dolphin stadium in the Keywest area of the park. :)
