I thought it would be helpful for anyone who has stayed in an accessible room at a WDW Resort to post details and comments about the rooms. This might help others with special needs to see what is available and make a room request.

We stayed in room 3140 at POFQ. This was a ground floor king room wheelchair accessible with roll-in shower. There was a sliding door to the bathroom. It was a lovely large corner room close to the parking lot as we had requested and was very quiet. It looked out over gardens and a little pond and at night we could see the high fireworks from Epcot. It was connecting to 3139 which was a standard 2 doubles with bath.

We stayed in room 3140 at AKL. This was a standard view 2 doubles room wheelchair accessible with roll-in shower. We thought the room was quite dark (seems typical of AKL rooms) and pretty cramped for 4 including a wheelchair user. The balcony was closed in and difficult to access for a wheelchair user who couldn't see over it anyway. There was a sliding door on the bathroom but not to the balcony. The location was directly above the front desk and lobby and quite close to the elevators.
