We have been speaking to V.A, about the new baggage rules and said that the wheelchair attachments and incontinence pads for DD take up a suitcase by themselves which doesn't leave her with a lot of space but they said if we weigh the special needs items and let them know they should be able to make allowances for the extra weight.
Might be of help to those of you with similar extra baggage or those needing to take special food supplies.

We take a separate bag with the special items in and it does not count towards our baggage allowance - either as a bag or towards the weight allowance. Is it possible for you to put all those items separately, if not they will probably just take the weight in to account towards the overall total.

We have always found VA very helpful.

MyTravel do the same, we were allowed an extra bag for DS's supplies, I just had to call and let them know in advance the dimensions and weight of the extra item. It wasn't included in our luggage allowance.

If you go through Virgin Special Assistance (Virgin Holidays) they are excellent and sorted all my luggage out for me (I had to take 2 extra cases for my supplies :omg: ).
