View Full Version : Best Western Plaza.
Has anyone stayed at the Best Western Plaza on I-Drive recently?
Apparently it has been downgraded to a 2 star although it is apperently because other hotels in that area have improved?
Does anyone have any positive or negative views? How does it compare to other I-Drive hotels?
Thanks folks:D

Stayed there last year, it was absolutely fine. Rooms are functional, come with fridge, telly, safe, etc. We had a ground floor pool facing room. The location is fine (south of Sandlake is always good!), lots of parking, clean, tidy, nice little pair of pools. We would go back again without hestitation. We have stayed at some others on I-Drive (and off I-Drive), and it is perfectly adequate, depends on what you want from a hotel. Somewhere to sleep, cool down and prepare for the next day...
I have friends who have stayed there about 4 times...... they love it!
Its right in the middle of I Drive close to everything and with a trolley stop right outside. If you need shuttles, their shuttle service is superb and goes to all the main parks (i know, ive used it when spending a day with said friends!)
You also get free tea and coffee in the lobby all day and night.......what more could a buddy want?? lol

we stayed there in 2003 and it was ok - the location is fantastic and was within a 10 min walk to the pointe. I wouldnt stay there again though as it was very basic and at the time, I thought the rooms needed doing up.
But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for

We stayed here in 2004 and found the hotel fine. We upgraded to a family suite. The hotel is in a fantastic location on I-Drive close to all the great restaurants, shops and pirates cove.;) ;)
I would ask for a pool facing room. As some blocks face the I4 and i can guess these would be slightly noisy.
I just e-mailed the hotel direct for my upgrade and requests.
