Hi
Has anyone tried the Character Breakfast at Universals City Walk? I know they do one and it has Spiderman, The Grinch (who i love), Thing1 & Thing2 etc. I have all my Disney ADR's made and want to know if anyone has enjoyed this breakfast or dinner. Did they make ADR's like you do with Disney or just book when you arrive ?
Any help would be great :thumb:
OOPs - edited to say its at Port of Entry, Islands of Adventure.

Hi
Me again :)
Got a phone number for the breakfast and found out it only runs from Thursday to Sunday and is Breakfast only, no lunch or dinner option and finishes at 10.30am.
You can book in advance but only 14 days. So i have to phone back at end of June.
It has Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & 2, Grinch and Spidereman.
This would be cool, be something bit different.
Still looking for any reviews from fellow dibbers

Hi,
You can also have breakfast or dinner with Scooby Doo at The Kitchen Restaurant in The Hard Rock Hotel.
Great if your kids are Scooby fans like mine.
That would be so cool i might book that myself for us

Thanks, might check this one out too.
It amazes me how Universal dont advertise their Character breakfasts like Disney do. Well not advertise but make you more aware that you can do it.

Hi,
Tink- do you have the number to call for the Spiderman breekie.I thought I'd seen it somewhere that Universal do this, but like you said, its not glaringly obvious ( needs to be with my brain!)
Thanks

Does anyone know if you have to be staying at the hotel to have breakfast or dinner with Scooby at The Kitchen, as my nephews would far prefer this to seeing Mickey and Minnie again!:confused2

No you dont have to be staying at the Hard rock, we did this last year it was sooooo cool!!! We were in a villa, we booked 14 days out, we did its the 3rd day of hol just incase it was fully booked but we were ok. I would suggest getting there aout 30 mins before your time t have a look around the hotel and all its rock pop stuf. even the toilets are music themed!
The Kitchen is really nice, you eat off the menu at the normal prices. Scooby and Woody wood pecker were there on our night. Thy gave out colouring pictures of scooby for my dd who was 3 then. Scooby came around at least 3 times, we were not rushed at all. the puddings are amazing and come to your table to view on a guitar shape massive plate! Really a great night out.
hope this helps

PS car parking a HRH is $10 i think. Not sure if you are at the park that day if you can use that ticket. We parked in normal park car park, did the park and got boat to HRH. This was really fun to do too. Boat back and a stroll up City walk back to car.
IF ADR is say at 6.30pm, parking is free at City Walk after 6pm. So would be ok, though I would allow longer to get to HRH, so maybe 7pm booking is better. Just a thought!
We have done with Grinch, Cat in Hat and Things...Spiderman wasn't there though.
It was great...MUCH more character interaction than Disney (but to be fair far fewer customers on the day we did it).The Things were looking through my bag...kids thought it was great.
We just walked in..in fact they were stopping people in the park asking them to come in so maybe it had just started then? This was 2003.
