Can I have some recommendations on the Downtown Disney restaurants please. We ate at Bongo's Cuban restaurant last year and absolutely loved it and are hoping to find somewhere equally as nice to eat before we go to Cirque du Soleil this year. We are interested in the theming and kind of food they do!!
Thanks!

Wolfgang Puck's restaurant wins it for me everytime. Ask to sit outside by the lake!

I thought the Rainforest Cafe at DTD was better than the one at AK. Usual fare, but lots of it, and a great atmosphere!

Yes the Rainforest Cafe at DTD is very good, especialy the theme.
We have always had good meals there. It does get very busy though but on a thread yesterday I was given a number so you can book a reservation. I did this last night for 2 evenings of our stay.
RFC is about a 10 min walk to Cirque, if you don't stop and look at the shops.

Here's that number:
You can book an ADR fro Rainforest Cafe at DTD 180 in advance. You don't do it through the main Disney Dining reservaion number. You do it direct on 001 407 827 8500

Although we loved the theming of the Rainforest Cafe we were'nt overly impressed with the food and it wasnt particularly good value.
We did however, totally enjoy Wolfgang Puck and it is on my definate list for September. Food was yummy, service was excellent and we liked the feel of the restaurant.
We didnt know about the seating overlooking the lake until we were seated inside, so i am definately going to request the lake view seats. Really pretty.
Take a look here and see if anything takes your fancy,
