Dont stay there it is a terrible place,we were booked about 5 years ago,
and we refused to checkin as the rooms were in a terrible state. We had
booked through Thomas Cook direct, and they agreed to move us to
Howard Johnston on Kirkman Road,a great place.

is this the one next to the convention centre ? if so we have stayed there twice .the first time we stayed last april and we thought it was fine ,pleasant staff ,nice courtyard etc and the room although basic was spot on after all it just somewhere to sleep at end of the day ,but when we returned in november we ended up at the other side of the courtyard and these rooms were rubbish in fact we ended up being moved because of a problem with electrics,we also found it was differsnt staff and they just werent interseted in any problems .stayin at a different hotel this time .

I think this is the one opposite Magical Midway, next to the Holiday Inn and the Rodeway . . the one up on the north end, near Sweet Tomatoes was called HoJo Plaza Resort, and the one down near the Convention Centre was the HoJo Plaza Hotel and Suites. Mind you, hotels seem to change their names every 5 minutes over there . . .

All HoJo's are budget type motels though . . .

Stayed there last trip and I must say what a nightmare!! First room the air conditioning was leaking and making the carpet wet. The room was also tatty and so we asked to be moved. Second room was right above the swimming pool which is supposed to close at 10pm. Now don't get me wrong, I'm no party pooper but when you've got a child to get up early every morning and who needs to sleep, partying around in the pool way past 10pm isn't funny. A family were using the pool fully clothed which as far as I'm concerned isn't very hygienic. There were only two washing machines and the on site restaurant was tatty. HJ do provide you with vouchers to eat breakfast there, but tell your friends not to bother.

I hate to say this but the place doesn't look half as good as the website portrays it.
