Hard Rock Hotel And International Drive

How far away are the eateries on International Drive from the Hard Rock Hotel? Really can't make a decision whether to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian Resort or the Hard Rock Cafe :erm: As non-drivers, bit worried about getting out to eat at Disney so - now thinking that the HRC would be closer to I Drive??????

You can walk from the Hard Rock Hotel to CityWalk, but I doubt you could walk to International Drive.

From memory, it cost me $5 for a taxi from the bus station at IOA/US to the Holiday Inn at the top of International Drive. That shows the distance.

It looks close and in a car only a few minutes, I'm fit but could not walk it!

There are lots of places to eat on I drive but it is quite far from disney.

If I were you I would stay on site at Disney as you will be able to get to the parks early. Does not matter what time you get out to eat, but we found without a car you are very limited.

There will be others post who can better inform you but when we stayed last year without a car it was a nightmare, so this time we have one.

Its hard going to get to Disney from I drive unless the hotel runs a bus.

Stay in Disney if you have children, is much easier.

Although you could walk from the Hard Rock Hotel to I-Drive, you wouldn't want to do it every day as it's a fair old walk. You can walk a little way down I-Drive and then use the I-Ride trolley bus to get to where you want to go but it would still take you a while to get anywhere.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay where you will have a wide variety of options for eating (cheaper than on-site), why not consider a hotel on I-Drive that has shuttle busses to all the parks? There are a few that do busses to Disney as well as Universal and Sea World. Alternatively, somewhere like the Sheraton Wolrd provides a shuttle to Disney and it is easy enought to catch the I-Ride bus to get to places on I-Drive to eat and go to Sea World, Universal etc.

Do what we have done split your stay up.;) We are one week Animal Kingdom Lodge and a week at the Hard Rock Hotel:grin:
