We never made it onto Sheikra..... but it looked like a longer version of Alton Tower's Oblivion...... am I right?

I absolutely loved it, and I hate the 'modern' rides.

Strangely, my wife and kids thought it was really scary, yet they think nothing of the seemingly scariest modern rides. :spin:

Paul O'Grady. Yes saw it, poor ladies!! No its a fantastic ride 1000 times better than Oblivion!! I hated the climb in Oblivion, Sheikra is a much smoother start.
Gwazi was one of the families favourites except me!!! I can do them all but that one rattled my head about!:spin:

Gwazi is such a thrill ... just wish I could remember which one, Lion or Tiger has square wheels!!

Sheikra was not as exciting as I thought it was gonna be ..

my favourite is still Montu .. now that is some coaster .. long and smooth and just excellent!!

Paul O'Grady- thats him, it was in my head all night trying to think of his name!
I love Busch gardens, I think they have the best collection of roller coasters anyway- just a shame they lack on the presentation of the park a little- though the "hospitality tent" more than makes up for that:d: :d: :d:

We went on Gwazi last visit.....
Never been as scared on a ride.....
My daughter is the one who has her hands in the air...My picture normally has me not fased, still with glasses and cap...
Not GWAZI... We were gripping the bar for sheer life and that was only the coasting befor the click click click of the first incline...
If only somebody could tell me why we followed it straight away with the Lion?????

I love all the rides, but Gwazi frightens me to death, it feels like you are seconds away from certain doom for the entire ride.

A good tip for Shiekra is to keep your shoulder restraint as loose as possible, dont click it down to tight. Then when your drop you lift out of your seat and it feels like total freefall, 9 out of 10 on the screamometer!!!

I LOVE this coaster it is my favourite.Haven't done sheikra yet and won't be going to Busch this trip. As I have gotten older I have tended to shy away from the big coasters instead I now only go on the things I can do with the kids.
I need someone to hold my hand! Pity that this year they will be big enough for everything. AAAGHH!!! However this one I can do on my own I don't need anyone to hold my hand !!
Funny thing is I don't think hubby likes it. He much prefers Montu.
Have to say I don't really like being upside down so Gwazi is the coaster for me.

Gwazi is certainly the scariest big coaster. I always feel safer with shoulder straps.

However the one that actually had me screaming in terror was Cheetah Chase - you feel like you are going to shoot off the edge and plummet into the crowd like in that episode of CSI. I really don't think I'm going to do that one again. :omg:

Yes they do! Gwazi is only a recent addition to Busch gardens collection, built in the last three years or so:confused2 :d:

Really? Definitely newly built or just purchased from somewhere else?

No it was new, think it was made by the same company that built Megafobia in Oakwood park in West wales!

Gwazi is the best ride at Busch by a long shot. I went on Sheikra twice in a row on February and to be honest i thought it was Crap. It is over hyped, the best thing about it is the view you get over Tampa when you reach the top! It is a major disapointment and is not even in my top 5 florida Coaster list.

I LOVE every coaster in Orlando and Tampa bar one - GWAZI !!! Yes, it could have been thrilling, were it not for the absolute agony it gave my neck as I was rattled to death - I was actually in pain and for me that is not something to ignore.
Looking forward to trying Sheikra, but agree with Shelley - Montu is my absolute favourite coaster - smooth, exhilerating and a great pain-free buzz:thumbs-up
