I understand carparking is not free at the parks but if you park at one of the parks you can park at another free for the rest of that day if I understand correctly?

What about, for example, if one of the party was not on park duty that day, can they get close to the park entrances/exits to act as taxi?

No as you have to go through the carpark to get to the main entrance or monorail, boat etc.
You could drop your family at the bus stop at dtd or one of the disney hotels. I think that would be your best option if you dont want to pay for parking

You are correct that you do only have to pay one lot of parking per day though

When we last went in 2001 we were a large group and we often dropped party members off at a perk before heading to another one, I'm pretty sure you don't have to pay.

I think you just tell the CM on the gate that you are dropping people off and they direct you down a different lane.

Hopefully sonebody with a better memory will be on shortly to confirm this (or possibly shoot me down in flames ;))

Yes, there is a drop off and pick up point at each park. Just tell the CM at the toll booth where you pay for parking.

Yes, you can 'car park hop' - you only pay once per day and can come and go to each car park, just as long as you keep you parking ticket!

Parking is now $9 but as sea world and USF are now $10 is could go up anytime.
I know if you hire a taxi they have to pay the parking fee to drop you off pick you up, but cant comment as I have never been in one to the parks.
