Having traweled the net for cheap Universal tickets, I have found a number of good deals with 5 days for the price of 3 and 10 days for 7 and so on. Having trawled the Universal site itself it appears you can purchase a year pass for $119 which has some dates during the busy periods that you can't go but these are only a few. This price is the same as a weeks pass. Has anyone tried these?
Are they what they say? Or is it too good to be true?

Hello, Is there a limited amount of fast passes, or is there just an additional charge? If there is limited, how quickly do they go, and how early would I have to be to be more likely of getting one?

Reason being, I went to Alton Towers, fabulous themepark however they run out of fast passes so I couldn't avoid the ques and only maganged 5 rides in the whole day.

*Question Applies to Disney and Other Themeparks in Florida.

Thanks

swiper - Your choice depends on how many days you plan to visit each park, if the blackout dates don't bother you the annual pass could be a good deal and give you the most visits, Universal have just started to market a one week and 2 week pass in the UK too. If you are likely to visit Seaworld and Busch Gardens too you may want to consider a Flexticket which gives unlimited admission to all these and Wet 'n' Wild for 14 days.

Jammie123 - Universal no longer do free express passes, you need to buy these now, costs vary according to the date and a limited number are available for each day. Disney still have their free Fastpass system, but at busy times they do run out for the most popular rides.

I'm not going till October and I hope to go again in the summer (out of the black out dates) so I think I will save a bit of money. 5 weeks entry to Universal and IOA for that price is pretty good.:wavey:

If you have a car and will need to park there, you may want to look at the other AP, I think Preferred AP that gives you free parking and 15% of food, drink and merchandise too. It all just needs working out!

We always have the Annual Power Pass (with blackout dates) and get 2 or 3 holidays out of it. When it comes to renewing them next, we are going to up-grade one of them to the full annual pass to make use of free parking, discounts on hotels, restaurants etc.

We think they are excellent value for money ;)

I have a full annual pass as I got it when they did 2 years for the price of one! This upcoming trip will be the 4th I have used it on and the free parking and food and merchandise discounts have got with it have covered the cost of the pass so its like I have been getting in free. They are great and once you have paid the price you can renew for $99 every year so it really is a great deal.

Be careful buying the Annual Power Pass, as they can and do change the bllack out dates. This happened to us last year, all the dates were changed and for the date we were there it made it virtually impossible for us to use them.

After complaining long and loud, they did change the passes to a full AP but it took ages to sort out both on line and again when we arrived at the park.Wasting several hours and just didn't start the day off well
