Just a little post to advise at both SEAWORLD and UNIVERSAL have
yesterday increased car parking charges to $ 10.00 .According to the
Orlando Sentinel this was done with no advance notice. Will Disney follow
suit?

I can confirm that the parking at Seaworld is $10 this was last week. WDW was still $9 when we left.

I suspect it won't be too long before Disney follows

Dont know if i am in the minority here, but, I think the $9/$10 dollars they charge isn't too bad. If you go shopping for the day in this country and stay over 5 or 6 hours you end up paying around £6. So, the way I see it is Disney/seaworld have to charge around this to pay the wages for the CM's to get us parked up efficiently and drive the trams. I know it works out quite a lot at the end of the fortnight, but I would rather have it that way than fighting over car parking spaces etc..:wavey: :wavey:

Parked in a car park for business meeting last week,(Oxford) got a £22 charge for 7 hours and 19 minutes. !!!! Thank goodness work pays ! Anyway $10 looks not too bad in comparision, and I KNOW for sure I would rather be in Disney than a works meeting!!!! ;)

Totally agree
we went shopping in Newcastle yesterday, it cost us £3.60 for just over 2 hours. And if we wanted to go back later in the day I don't think the parking attendent would be happy if we present him with the ticket saying we have already paid- no free re-entry to the carpark!!!.

It's not a lot really compared to what you have spent on your holiday, and as a few people have pointed out, cheaper than parking in the UK.

I know it works out quite a lot, especially of you stay off site and go to the parks most days. If you park say 9 times its $90, and that with Stroller hire which for us is another $100 or so. I however think its worth it. The car parks are very clean and tidy, no litter, the disabled parking seems to be policed very well, much better than in this country, where every Tom, Dick or Harry parks in them. :)
