Hi All,

Any thoughts, suggestions appreciated.

We have done the Disney Parks to death on our last couple of visits.

The 'kids' are now DS1 18, DS2 17, DS3 14 and DD 10 and love the IOA/Universal parks. Seaworld is a must for us all and Busch Gardens will be a first time visit. We have invested in a top notch 5 bed villa, with extended pool and pool area, spa, fully loaded games room and loads of TVs, games etc.,

We really want this holiday to be a relaxing holiday for us all and we are trying to get away from schedules and timetables as much as possible BUT also want to get the best from the parks when we visit.

As well as the 'pencilled in' activites, we are also planning on a few nice meals out, a couple of breaksfast out, crazy golf and CityWalk visits.

We have only bought the 5 park flexiticket so far BUT we might weaken on the Disney front when we get there - lol!

We are going last week of August and first week of September this year, we are hoping the crowds are lighter and we won't need to use the IOA/Universal fastpass system.

I think it looks great! We are not doing Disney this time either (hope I don't regret it) but will probably go another time and miss out a different park then.

We got the 5 park flexiticket last time. We also had unlimited Seaworld with our DC tickets.
We just paid on the gate for MGM one day and also did BB one day. We got a BB and wintersummerland combo for that day. That left us more time to concentrate on US/IOA.
We've decided to get the ultimate tickets for Disney this year though as we haven't done MK, Epcot, AK and TL since 2000.

Thanks Judy - I like the sound of the BB and wintersummerland combo, my lot will love the crazy golf and it will also let us try a different waterpark as well.

Glad its not just us missing Disney this time, feel a little disloyal.

we are the other way round and won't be doing universal/ busch gardens etc. just disney and seaworld and pleny of relaxing at the villa. I guess once our children are similar ages to yours we may well be missing disney too (although i'm not sure i would be able to go for that :erm: )

Yes it was good value. We also ended up with a rain cheque for this twice, so got 3 goes on the course on separate days for only the one price :)

The first two times we were near the end of the course when it started thundering and lightening. We finally played the full course on the morning we were due to return home. We felt like we'd got our moneys worth ;)

I'm with Karen. Imagine going all that way to be so close to the Mouse without "popping in"??? :omg: :confused2

My teenagers are 19 and 16 and if I even suggested giving Disney a miss there would be a riot (mind you, they wouldn't miss IOA either but WDW is the only must do).

I do believe I detected a weakening in Jennie's penultimate paragraph though. ;)

We didnt do Disney this time  (not my choice), however, managed to talk everyone into going to Downtown Disney so i could get a Disneyfix!! We even went to the Rainforest cafe for a meal and i bought my usual keepsake Xmas ornaments, so it wasnt too bad.

I think we will probably visit disney  It is a long way to go and I just can't do it!!!

My DD 10 will be pleased, she loves AK. I have tried to convince her (and me)that BG will make up for it but she is not buying it. The boys don't seem that bothered. I am sure we can squeeze some disney magic in there. ;)
