View Full Version : Reviews Best Western LBV-Confused!!
Help!!!
Has anyone stayed at the Best Western LBV recently?? I've read all sorts of reviews ranging from ants, bugs, tatty rooms & bedclothes (in 2004 )to unfriendly staff ( early 2005) and later in 2005, mixed reviews from 1 to 3 'smiley faces' some said nice rooms with views (late 2005).
we're booked at Coronado Springs for 7 nights and then onto BW,LBV for 5 nights.
IF its not recommended, any other hotel in vicinity within walking distance of downtown Dis and xroads?. I'm a non-driver and want a hotel near bars/rests etc and a room with a balcony and views, with room service and bar (to chill out).
All suggestions will be eagerly considered.
PS, Booked with Virgin for Easter 2007, and have a 9yr old.

We have stayed at Best Western on Hotel Plaza Boulevard a couple of years ago and things were fine room was huge with balcony, although we did book a King-size room. Breakfast was about average but you could get a lot better by going to somewhere like Perkins at Crossroads or IHop just over the road, both walkable.
When we were there earlier this month we noticed that the Holiday Inn that used to be the Courtyard was being completely refurbished. If you trip isnt until next year the refurbishment may well be finished by then.
You really will not spend much time in your room you probably wont finish with the parks until 10ish at night. It will probably be better to purchase wine or beer from Goodings at Crossroads and put into the fridge in your room. This might be a better option as bars in the hotels tend to be expensive.
Hope this helps

Lam,
We are also booked to stay there with Virgin for next easter (we arrive on the 9th April) 'citywalk' a regular on this board has stayed there and has posted a review under the accommodation reviews section of this site - he also very kindly responded to a similar post by myself at the back end of last year. We don't like to drive either and chose the BWLBV due to it's location, we have however emailed the hotel to request a disney view room! As said previously, you do spend very little time there, but I hope everything will be fine. Most reviews I've read have said the rooms are large & the walls thick - so no noisey neighbours! Hope to see you there next Easter.!!
Thanks everyone for the good advice. Will email hotel re DView Room too & check out the stores for wine/beer etc.
Feeling a bit better re hotel rating now so fingers crossed all goes well and look forward to seeing you at Easter JO-Will email you nearer the time!

We stayed there but it was in 1999, just when it changed from the Travelodge, we booked it through BA Holidays. The hotel was lovely, the room was large with a nice balcony with an insect screen if I remeber correctly, the only thing wrong was the swimming pool was a bit small.
Hotel was very clean, but on our last night we had a cockroach in our room, the only time I have ever seen this. Don't know where it came from, but the hotel was very clean.

I stayed there in September and have rebooked for this September. I think the place is great value for money. We had a King room with Disney View room and booked the same this time round. The view is priceless. However if you have a non Disney View room, id probably stay somewhere else on Hotel Blvd as the location is fantastic no matter what hotel youre in!!! You can walk to Crossroads to escape Disney or have a few drinks at Dwontown Disney and walk. The pool is quite small though.
This hotel is actually for sale, if anyone is interested. $65 000 000. With the current exchange rate thats only about 40 million
