 hey:wave:
we have got a universal hopper and we went about three years ago and went to busch gardens for a day but we thought that we didnt see everything there was to see anyway was wondering if 1 day is long enough or do we need 2 days? many thanks dan
We didn't do BG last time but have got the 5park flexi for October. I am thinking we will need 2 days cos there will be no fast pass & I doubt my boys are going to make the height restrictions on some of the coasters- so DH & I will have to queue twice to do these individually, also I have no idea what the crowds will be like. I've pencilled 2 days into my itinerary, but have made alternative plans for the 2nd day if we don't fancy a return visit :)

We did two days last August and are planning two more in September.
We found it to be a lot quieter than the Disney parks.

I found that one day was enough for our family but we are not big on roller coasters!!:D
we did it in aug 2004 (the day b4 hurricane charley)
we did the whole park in a day but not including the safari

we have done it all in a day before, but have 2 days there this year planned as we are going to stay over in Tampa for a couple of days and do the clearwater screamer too.
It is quieter than Disney, the heat can get a bit much there I find in summer as there aren't the same amount of indoor attractions like shows and rides as in Disney. the rollercoasters are bigger and faster than Disney though, depends what you like most, I and DD prefer Disney, DH and Ds prefer Bush gardens :o:

One day has always seemed about right & that has included doing all the major coasters etc.

We are doing 2 days as well this year.
We missed out on loads last year after being stuck in the line for Shiekra when it broke down.
It broke down right before we got on where you stand on the little bridge with the sun belting down on you. We got a great Tan after standing there for an hour and a half. :)
As we are staying on site we will be able to visit 1 of the Disney parks in the evening.
We done it in 1 day last time we were there, and my son and hubby went on everything they wanted to at least twice. They love roller coasters. :)

We always like 2 days at busch especially if we are going for 3 weeks we always go around October time and the crowds are really low, i cant remember a time in 9 years visiting the park where we had to queue more than 15 mins for anything apart from the Safari:cool2:

Ditto! BG is definately more for the rollercoaster fans I think. One day is enough for us and to be honest if if wasn't for the fact our 19 year old is coming with her boyfriend this trip and hasn't been to BG before, we probably would have used the day revisiting one of the other theme parks. :)

If i were going to do 2 days then i would certainly stay over night and do two consecutive days as its quite a drive.

We plan to go for 2 days this year - when we went in 2004 we found that we were tired towards the late afternoon and decided to leave before we felt that we had done it all! I like th idea of staying over night - wonder where is best? I think I feel another thread coming on!!!

we are staying at the Holiday inn express in tampa, it is around $100 per night for a room for 4 sharing and includes breakfast - it's not costing us anything as Dh stays in holiday inns for work a lot and gets priority club points which you can redeem for free nights, it is costing is 40,000 points for 2 nights.

I'm afraid I found that 1 day was too much. DB enjoyed it though.

If you rush round and only do selected things then a day is enough.. If you want to enjoy your day and ride every ride/do every show and wander around the animals then 2 days will be needed IMO
BGs is a huge park and if you take into account that some rides you need to do more than once ;) It is actually my favourite park now
we used to stay over at the Holiday Inn until once it was being refurbished so we stayed in the Baymont Inn a few times after that..
last year we stayed at Highlands reserve and got to Tampa in about 40 minutes (quicker than getting to Universal) so we went on two sperate occasions without staying....
The I4 is so much better now that they have added lanes that it really isn't that far imo
even when I didn't do coasters I still did two days there! I love it

We went last year..and if you go to guest services they sell passes to go on a guided tour or something and you get on the ride's quicker,,unfortunately these are limited and had sold out when we went to purchase them...They are not fast passes or FOTL access ..but you have a tour guide who takes you round the park..

We did it last Thursday and 1 day was easily enough for the three of us to do all the big rides including Rhino Rally, and even take in the Pirates 4D show (strange, since we expected The Haunted Lighthouse to be there. It was even on the map!). The only major thing we missed was the safari. It is a quiet time of the year though. Although having said that, we caught it on a day when there was a massive school trip!
