I have read in other posts about taking the ferry into MK, for that magical first sight of the castle. I have a few questions to decide which option to take. As we will be up really early on the first few days I intend arriving a the park early. :d:
What time does the ferry start running? Is it before the rope drop?
Where is it you board and disembark?
Thank you

It definitely starts running before rope drop, do not know the exact times, but someone will be along soon who does.
The ferry leaves from the Ticket and Transportation Centre (TTC), same place as the monorails, you just fork left instead fo heading up to the monorails. The drop off point is better than for the monorail, straight ahead to the turnstiles.:thumbs-up

Thanks again
Where exactly is Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace?
Would you recommend going there on an early start day or will this delay getting to the park for rope drop? Not sure what time they open or how long it takes to get from one to another.
Crystal Palace is actually in MK - so you're in the park as soon as you've finished breakfast. The food there is a buffet, so there should be something for everyone. You're allowed into the park before it opens to get to Crystal Palace - walking down Main Street with hardly anyone else around is a rare treat.

We've got an 8.05 reservation for The Crystal Palace this year and, as JDG said, it's great walking down Main Street without the crowds! It's the perfect opportunity to take pictures!

without a doubt go to crystal palace, we were the same we booked for an hour before the park officially opens so it was fantastic walking up main street being able to take photos without other people in the way;) . your kids will love the buffet....there is so much choice and the character interaction is great:)

we have just booked crystal palace
we are off site with a hire car.
where can i park my car and what time does the transport start. we have a booking at 0810 and the cm says be there about 15 mins before. please help.
Gza - you just park in the parking lot of Magic Kingdom and get the monorail or ferry across to the park (at least one will be operating). If you explain to the CM that you have an ADR for Crystal Palace - they'll let you into the park.
We stayed on IDrive and allowed about an hour to drive to the park and negotiate the transport - the restaurants never seem to mind if you're early.
HTH
Enjoy!
