Wendy,
Yes, it's for the wimps that want to get the force of the tidal wave, head on, without getting wet .
..and not a poncho in sight!!! . . .
We loved this ride Tidel wave
Must say you get wetter on the bridge than on the ride .

We watched this from a distance when we went to Busch .
A couple of tips for this ride: -
1. Don't do it at the end of the day - you'll have a soggy bottom in the car on the way back.
2. Take the kids swimming costumes and a change of clothes
3. There are lockers nearby, but these tend to fill up quickly
4. Can't wait for Florida? - Get your fix at Thorpe Park on the Tidal Wave.
Yup!
I've got my kids on video in '93 at 6 & 8 standing there........after we've all ridden and got a "little" wet!!
I was standing alongside them as the boat started it's descent, then conveniently "stood aside" behind the perspex to film the "wave" !!
They were absolutely jumping around astonished afterwards, not realising how wet they'd get!!
Good job some of us plan, eh!! Dry clothes and trainers in the back-packs!! .
If you haven't been there.......Do Busch!! .

I did this after going on the Congo River Rapids then Tidal Wave, it took me about two hours to dry out!!! But it was fun and can't wait until I go in September.

Last Feb when we went to Busch it was 6C so there was no way we were doing that!
On a previous trip the ride was down whilst they stretchered a girl off due to whiplash type injuries. She claimed she couldnt move from her neck down, so we didnt go on it!
