My DD's daughter expired two days after we returned from our holiday to Menorca and there were no problems, the passport control man mentioned it in passing, don't forget to renew it, but that was all. I think that some companies prefer you to have longer but it isn't legally required.

When I was at the hairdressers on Friday the young lad washing my hair said that his girlfriend and twin sister couldn't go on holiday with their parents. This was only last week, they had 3 months left on their passport. I can't remember where they were going but Europe somewhere.

I wouldn't risk it myself, for ease of mind I renewed DS1's passport in March because he would have had just under 6 months left when we return from WDW in the summer. The passport Office put another 9 months on his passport so everything is fine now and I don't have that worry.

Best thing to do to get a proper answer is to look on the Spanish Embassy website.

TCD state is is a requirement for trips to the USA, we have also been told this travelling with airtours, style, thomson etc, but I think it depends on the travel company

I don't think the same regulations apply for European destinations, i would check with your carrier to be sure though
