Halkidiki Help Please !!!!!

hi all, had booked for portugal in late oct this year but couldnt wait so changed to a late deal for me and the kids to halkidiki in greece, never been,
to Greece, any tips for there or travelling as a single parent would be GREATLY appreciated thanks xxxxxxxx

ive been to several places in greece, rhodes. corfu and halkidiki. i have family who live in greece and love it but its not every ones cup of tea. most people do not like the fact that you have to put all paper in a bin by the side of the loo not down it !! it is not the cleanest of places,BUT it is a very pretty place and i have a friend who goes to crete every year.if you really want an honest opinion greece would not be MY 1st choice of holiday but others love it im sure you will have a great time.
