Hi everybody,

I would like to pick your brains on the easiest way to tackle BG for a first time visit.

Which way will be best for one coaster nut (namely ME) and one non coaster nut (Tracy) - we are wanting to avoid, if possible, excessive walking and any  info that you can give will be gratefully received.

We had thought of going straight to Gwazi and then playing it by ear but it does not seem right.  Our days of visiting are Tuesday one week and Monday the week after.

What are your thoughts??

Pete

HI

I've not been to BG for a few years, but when I have the atmosphere is quite different compared to the Orlando theme parks. A lot more relaxed and every time I've been nowhere near as busy.

BG is a big park but getting around never seemed a problem, we are big Coaster fans too, but since we've had the girls we have had to do baby swap on the big rides. On a few occasions this has worked to our advantage, as we have managed to talk the attendants into letting us on a couple of times.

But general theme park tactics still apply, get there early, go for the newest big ride first thing or last thing at night, use any fastpass type systems to their full advantage and avoid busy times (usually late morning and afternoons.

I hope someone can be more specific, but BG is definitely one of our favourite places in Florida.

My lot started with Gwazi as this was the first coaster closest to the entrance
I stayed on the ground and watched
Must say the noise from this wooden coaster sound like roaring lions #.
we wandered round the park headed for Kumba #
They saved Montu till last and went on at least 4times in a row
We had to leave the park early to catch the bus back so missed out looking at all the animals
Our next trip we plan to do #two days at BG 's
We #missed so much in one day #.
DH says do the coasters more than once and sit in different places its a completly different ride Back is the best

Hi Pete

We love BG, and although its very big we managed to cover it all in a day, in April we caught the to skyride to the back of the park where the rides were empty, Tom our son was the only person on the big swinging boat. Then we worked back opposite to everyone, we found we then avoided any large queues, the first day we do everyones favourite rides then on the second day take time to look at the animals, shows etc

Hope this helps

Pete, Gwazi first is a good idea - is Tracy doin that one? If not, I'd do Montu first meself as it's the best in the park.

The best thing about Busch, for me, is that there's loads of chillin things to do between the rides. This suits V best as she's a defo non-coaster/spinny thing/any ride type person!

Try the water rides early if it's hot as they get really busy and it gives you loads of time to dry out. DO stand on the Tidal Wave bridge but cover all cameras etc.

If Tracy's not ridin the big'uns, watch for spare seats on the coasters. They don;t do single rider lines but it's accepted that singles will move forward to fill-in seat gaps. This'll save you loads of time and give you more park time.
