Has anyone been here, after many months at looking at properties to buy we have reserved one here. We are very nervous though as never been there. Has anyone else out there done this, love to hear from you and put our minds at rest!!

Hi Kylali,
I have visited sunny beach and found my weeks holiday to be okay. I personally wouldn't consider buying a property here and probably wouldn't even go back for a holiday. I think Bulgaria still has a lot of growing to do, especially in their food hygeine and their resort activities. Just be sure to explore the resort before making a commitment. I am only 25 so maybe thats why I didn't like it. There was 12 of us went up to the age of 48 and everyone vowed they wouldn't return. Maybe it was just a bad week. We were ther in September and had stormy weather for 3 days which probably made it bad for us.
I'm sure you will have a better experience.

I must admit we have been looking at holidaying there, but have been put off by peoples' overall comments about the resort.
:wavey:
I was going to go there or Croatia this summer, but went for Anaheim instead. Next year will be Europe and Bulgaria or Croatia are top of my list. Can't say about buying a property there, but if I had the cash, I probably would go for it, you can always sell it.
Went to a overseas property show a few months ago and I have to say that Bulgaria and Turkey look really nice places to live.

Hi
I have been to both Golden Sands and Sunny Beach in Bulgaria and had a great time at both of them but preferred Golden Sands.
Beaches were great, food in the restaurants was great and it was very cheap to eat out.
There are lots of smaller resorts that are nice to visit for a day out. Varna is also nice to visit.
One thing to beware of is when exchanging money for Levs make sure it is from a hotel exchange or bank do not use the change booths or anyone stopping you in the street as you will be ripped off.
Here is a link to beachbulgaria website where you will be able to find out lots about Bulgaria as they have a discussion board which is very good.

If you want to know anything just ask and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.
