Me, DW, DS (3) & DD (1) will be off to DLRP in November staying at Newport Bay. What's the best option on arrival, get off the train and head for the park or check-in at the hotel?

I ask as I *think* the hotel check-in would be busy soon after the train has arrived, but would be quieter later on in the afternoon?

Thanks guys.

If you have the service where they take your bags to the resort, I would say go to the park :) We did this in December 04 and it was great - first we rode the railroad all the way round the park and then watched the parade from Main Street, which was fab, before checking in a couple of hours later :D

We went straight to the parks and checked in to our hotel later that evening.

We went to DLP in January this year. When we went they offered a service where by you could check in on the Eurostar.

We were given our park tickets and when we got off the train in Paris all we had to do was take our bags upstairs and drop them off. We then went straight to the park and when we were ready to go to our hotel our bags were there waiting for us.

It was the same service on the way home. When we checked out of our hotel we dropped the bags off downstairs at the hotel, hit the parks and collected our luggage at the station when it was time to go home.

It was an excellent service and i would certainly recommend it.:thumbs-up

That's decided then, straight to the park, take the train round the perimeter, and perhaps a croissant at the bakery before we head back!!

Thanks for all the advice.

We have been 4 times to DLP in May bank Hol week. The first couple of times the bags went off to the hotel, we went straight into the park and eventually turned up at the hotel after park closing. Booking in at the desk was not a problem at that time but there were only late breakfast sitting tickets available by that stage (we took the late tickets and just turned up at the time we wanted 7.30 and always got in - but the rush is closer to 8am). The last 2 visits we all headed straight for the park and at around 3.30pm I headed to the hotel to do the key collection and booking in and collect the luggage from the luggage room. Mid afternoon it is pretty quiet - everyone has headed straight to the parks - and I got the breakfast sitting tickets at times we wanted (had full choice). Last year, at Newport Bay, we were upgraded to a lake view as there were no standard rooms ready at that time! I then meet the rest of the family for a prompt (5pm) evening meal in the Disney Village (before the rush) before returning to the park for the rest of the evening.

i have to agree with going for the disney express option, get your entrance tickets on board the euro star and drop your luggage at the drop off point at the station and head into the parks.

fantastic service used it 3 times and cannot complain at all
