Banff is georgous in Summer. We went in May 99 and it was fab. We did Vancouver, Lake Louise and Jasper on the same tour. Banff is soooo pretty. you'll love it.

Hi there,
My boyfriend is taking me to Canada at the end of the year. We're going to Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff & Toronto. I'm not too sure of the details regarding bookings as I only found out once it was booked, but I know he went through trailfinders & he said they were great - he basically designed our itinerary with them & they sorted it all out, so it might be worth considering them.

Cant help you there. We did an organised tour seeing loads of differnet places. No we didnt drive. We went with Cosmos. Highly recomended - did 3 different tours with them all over America and Canada in 3 years - fab each time.

Not long come back from an escorted tour to the Canadian Rockies, which included Banff, Jasper, Kelowna, Victoria and Vancouver (this was booked through Titan Tours who I'd thoroughly recommended).
Banff was stunning, especially Lake Louise. Plenty to do there and a trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain is a must. Our tour guide did tell us that Banff in the summer is unbelieveably busy though.
Enjoyed Canada so much that we're booking up again for next year.

We used Canadian Affair for the flights and car (and we are doing the same this September). Couldn't fault them. They have flight upgrades that are definately worth the money. We booked hotels through websites, Best Western in Banff, Patricia Lake Bungalows in Jasper, then travelled over to Victoria and Vancouver for the last week. Driving over there is the same as around Orlando. All in all it's one of the best holidays you can have.

I was in Banff 2 years ago for 5 days camping and have to say I hated the place. The town itself is a massive tourist trap with the usual tacky gift shops and galleries selling over-priced tat. Jasper is much better and the moutains more spectacular, more wildlife and even in September, the chance for snow.
