View Full Version : Last minute DLP musings - Adults Only trip

Hi, hubby and I are heading to DLP tomorrow, for a kid-less break.

We were there once about 5 years ago with our (then) 6yo and 3yo. However, adults-only gives a completely different perspective.

We are landing at CDG around 15:45 tomorrow (Tuesday 30th May) and departing CDG around 16:15 Friday (2nd June).

We've been debating - DLP only, or DLP / Paris? Hubby thinks we don't have time to do both justice, and would be better sticking to one or the other (his preference, probably DLP!).

Any thoughts?

We are staying at the Radisson at DLP (£116 for double room for 3 nights!), so info on:
- travelling (TGV? timings aren't great, but it may still be the quickest option),
- thoughts on whether we really have time to do both, or should stick to either DLP or Paris,
- good info on a nice romantic couples place to have dinner, since this is the first time we've been away without kids for about 11 years (!)
- thoughts on what would be the best DLP ticket for us (we'll be buying at the gate as this is a last minute type of trip)

Especially - if we arrive at the hotel around 6 pm, what should we do for the evening? Does DLP do any kind of "late entry discounted" ticket?

Any ideas would be very much welcomed. :thumbs-up

Many thanks in advance,
LFH

Personally I think you can do DLP in a day. If you are doing studios and Disney then a two day pass in my opinion would be enough. We went round DLP on Saturday arriving at mid-day and didnt leave until 11pm and we done pretty much everything we wanted. You could always go to Disney village on your arrival - there are places to eat etc.I would want to visit Paris too if I was going for 3 days.

If I were you I would not travel by TGV unless you know already that there's a train that will leave within a reasonable time of your arrival. We had to stand in a queue for tickets for 30 mins then waited 2 hours for the TGV - not much fun, although the actual ride was only around 10 mins.

If you want a romantic meal I'd head to the California Grill at the Disneyland Hotel - it's pricey though!!!

Have a lovely time!:wavey:
