Hi
I know a few of you have been to Salou!! Of those that have been, did you go to Aquapolis waterpark. If so what is it like? and also Is it true that you can go swimming with sealions?
Thanks
Joanne
Don't bother going to the waterpark as its badly set out (on a hill) and it gets very slippy walking downhill with wet feet. Also they have one part where you sit in a rubber ring and float along...except there was a big pile up at one point and my daughter was almost crushed by a huge man landing on top of her, she had a very badly bruised and grazed back and nobody was in the slightest bit bothered about it.They had no lifeguard on duty there and at other parts of the park.
The food was disgusting and you have to queue for 30 minutes or so to get served.
The "safari" consisted of a lion and a couple of scabby looking bears!!!
Save your money and give it a miss, but I can recommend the Jeep Safari, its fantastic.

Do you mean aquapolis at La Pineda which is just outside Salou?
We went in September last year had a great time. Son did the swimming with sealions and loved it. You are not allowed to take photos or movies of the swimming with sealions as they expect you to buy their photos. We did take photos and got caught twice.
They also have a dolphin and sealion show.
It was about 19 euros to get in the park and was about 30 euros to do the sealion swim I think which we booked through the reps. It is very easy to get to from Salou by bus.

Are you sure you have got the right place as aquapolis is all flat, there were plenty of lifeguards all round and there were no animals there and no safari.

The one you went to sounds awful, glad we didn't go to that one.
Yes it was awful, it was supposed to be a safari and a waterpark and they made it sound really good so we booked it.
When we arrived and went down to the lockers, they hired us a rubber ring each which were big and awkward to carry around and then when we got to the lazy river, we didn't need one!!! They had them there. Thats when Emily got thrown off her ring and this HUGE American landed on her and her back hit the bottom. Everyone was just piling on top of each other and it was hard to get out and there were just too many people on it at the same time, it was chaos and terrifying for me as i don't swim.
After that we took the rings back and asked for a refund, but all of a sudden they"no speeky eengleesh"they could speak it alright when we were hiring the rings!
The safari was total rubbish with hardly any animals and what they did have were very manky, my dog was bigger than their bears...lol.
The food service was bad as they only wanted to serve the locals and burgers were cold and not cooked throroughly.
Never again...lol.
