Hi all,
We are heading out to Orlando on the 17 October 2006 and have arranged to get married just off International Drive on Monday 23 October. There will be 10 adults and 5 children under 6. Any ideas of where to hold a reception close by at about 1.00 pm, must be extremely child friendly :mickeybou .
Thank you soooo much:wavey:

Congratulations on your forthcomming wedding:D I hope you have a lovely day, and a very happy married life:D
Can't advise specifically on a particular restaurant, but will say that we have yet to find anywhere that isn't very child friendly when dining out there:D All places seem to offer an extensive child menu, can't think of anywhere that dosn't provide crayons and drawing/colouring sheets for the kids (at the very least), when DD2 was very much younger (ie, under 2) we always found that we were offered the option of having her meal delivered first - so we could help her eat, and then enjoy our food, didn't see anywhere that didn't have a stack of clean, unbroken high chairs (very different from the majority of so called 'family' friendly eateries in the UK), and have always been very impressed at the way kids needs are attended to there.
If you do a search of 'off site restaurants' on this forum, and then google the name of individual places to eat, you will be able - in nearly every case - to view location and check out the menu, to see if it is likely to match the likes and dislikes of people in your group:) If it helps - I am travelling this October with a 5 yr old, 10 year old and 13 year old - all fussy eaters - plus a Mil who is also a very fussy eater - I am planning to try Chillis, Outback Steakhouse (google 'blooming Onion for both of these - looks delish), Bahama Breeze, Sweet Tomatoes, Olive Garden..............we have also, on previous trips, ate at Bennigans (and will do again this time - fab food, great atmosphere - a sort of Irish/American/Cajun themed pub/restaurant) and have a few times seen folk there, celebrating birthdays ect, and have seen the staff there knock themselves out to make events like that special - cakes delivered to tables with all the servers singing to the recipients for example:)
Hope this lot helps:D

We had our wedding reception at Ming Court (I-drive) in 2001.
There were 6 children aged 2 - 10 and they were well catered for with their own menu.
The food and settings are lovely and we has tables in a secluded corner with screens to make a private eating area.
Would definitely recommend it.

Congratulations!
How about Olive Garden on I Drive - they have a good range of food and a lovely atmosphere - I'd guess that you'd need to book ahead, but we've always found the service to be very good and the manager was really helpful.
Good luck!

Two of the large hotels near the Convention Centre on I Drive have good restaurants which might suit your needs - they re the Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza, both very nice hotels with good lobby/lounges and outside spaces/gardens which would be good for wedding photos.
Or there is the Renaissance Seaworld hotel, which also has 2 nice restaurants plus a beautiful lobby with a waterfall and giant goldfish. Again this would be stylish and look good in your wedding piccies. They have a lovely Sunday brunch, with champagne and musicians, but I don't suppose you are getting married on a Sunday??
