What sort of planes do Cosmos/Monarch use?

We need to book with Cosmos/Monarch since we want to stay at the Hampton Inn Pointe Orlando again & want to use our Tesco Clubcard points as part payment - so despite hearing some bad reports on Monarch, we feel as if we don't have a lot of choice.

So - my question relates to the type of planes they use - 747, 767 etc?

Thanks !
Hayley.

Hi hayley,
the monarch flight from manchester is normally an A330-200 and we believe this is what we will be on again this year. we have flown monarch before and it was fine, if you can raise the funds its worth buying the extra legroom seats if you are travelling in economy and at £60 return its not expensive, don't let the horror stories put you off or have you worrying needlessly :)
there are no seatback tvs, just the ones on the ceiling, but at the end of the day, its just transport, it gets you there

Hi!

Monarch also use A330's from Newcastle to Sanford. I agree with the above post, dont be put off by bad stories. All airlines have good and bad stories attached, think of how many people go Monarch and have a good experience! I have flown with them before, and am again this summer as our first time was great. There are no seat back TV's, but the meals were good, seats comfy, and crew spot on. As the person above says, its just a mode of transport from A - B and think whats waiting for you at the other end!

Enjoy ! :)

lol @ s66614a.
The only problem with Monarch is the poor IFE and legroom, but if these don't bother you then they are absolutely fine.

Flew with Monach many times, yes they are outdated and not the best timekeepers or have much leg room, i could tell you many a bad story, but won't as it does get you from A to B and guess what no matter what bad experiences we have had we are flying with them this year, remember the holiday isn't about the flt.

You had the new model released for the Monarch 2009 fleet then? - bet the legroom on that one was superb if you look at the spacing between the windows!

Trouble is, Justin is 6'5" so legroom is an issue !
