Breast feeding in DLP
My son will be 15 months when we go to DLP in July. I'm hoping he will have stopped breast feeding by then but I'm not holding my breath. Could you please share your experiences?

when i was there last year i saw a woman breastfeeding a 5 yr old in the pocahontas play area...and no one seemed too bothered ( well except double taking the size of the kid!)

I'll be bfing a 16mth old there next month. I fed my eldest daughter there when she was smaller too. If you want some privacy then you can use the mother and baby rooms but I will just be getting on with it tbh. I'm pretty sure the French are less prudish than us Brits about such things. I'm actually grateful for it as I know that a quick feed will calm her down and Disney can definitely get too exciting for me never mind a little one! Also handy for keeping her sufficiently distracted and pinned down in a queue

Thank you I have no problem nursing in public I was more concerned about the reaction from the French so thank you.

I have nursed all 3 of mine, though only the younger 2 in DLP and WDW. I didn't stop nursing DS until he was about 2yrs3mths, though about 15mths I changed to only nursing morning, just before naptime and just before bedtime so only had to feed once a day in the park at DLP when he was that age. I am quite comfortable with nursing in public and the French are far more BF friendly than the UK. My favourite spots to nurse at DLP are in the passage between the Fort at the entrance to Frontierland and Aladdin's display, it is quiet and sheltered from sun/rain though since they have thinned the trees near there for the Dreams show it might not be quite as relaxing. Also there used to be benches in the passage between Caseys and Frontierland Lucky Nugget saloon.

I've nursed lots in France (though not at DLP) the French are very relaxed about it, too much sometimes as they don't mind a good look lol. Both DLP and WDW pride themselves on being BF friendly :-)
Disneymum - did your DS wean himself at 2yr 3mths? |
