When we last went to DLP they did not have electric scooters. They only had wheelchairs.

There are places in the UK where you can hire an electric scooter from and take it with you. Just do a google search.

We did not search to see if there was a place local to Paris where you could hire one from and get it deliverd to your hotel.

Hi
I searched and searched but never found anywhere, that was back in 2007 and I would have thought that there would have been somewhere by now. I ended up buying new batteries for my own small scooter and taking it, but even with two batteries it ran out everyday and hubby had to end up pushing me back on it to the hotel everyday.
I remember that there was a large pharmaceutical company that spoke about hiring them out but they were in Paris and we had no transport and by the time we worked out about going in by train and back to collect it it was cheaper to buy air transportable batteries for my own one.
If I can find the info from all that time ago I'll post an update.

Thanks very much for your reply's, i have emailed disney to see if they or know of any local business that rents them out, yet to hear back from them. Also asked the travel agent we booked with to check for us.

Disney passed on this information to me today so gonna give it a try, hopefully they understand english as i'm not on par with french.

Please, see below the e-mail address and telephone number or a company we use to work with called Orkyn (specialist in medical supply):

cristina.dacosta@orkyn.fr

Tel : 00 33 1 48 10 64 80.

Hi Marsey

It was a sarah.groene@orkyn.fr that I contacted in July 07 and she said "

Bonjour,
We can sell electric ou manual wheelchairs. For hiring there are only manual wheelchairs.

Have a nice day
Sarah Groene".

things may have changed since then.?

I've also found the email from Paris tourist office who gave me an email address for a chemist in the area that rented scooters : pharmacieovert@perso.alliadis.net - a motorised mobility scooter in French is "fauteil roulant motorisé", (as advised by the French Tourist Board), - but unfotunately this person never replied to my emails.

hope you have some luck.
Karen
