Earning My Ears

Had a lovely time here. As soon as we were seated pooh was with us within 2 minutes and DS got to see Pooh, Tigger, Piglet & Eeore during our meal. Very Good characters. Food was ok and we all ate but was expecting better tbh. |

We visited here on my birthday. I had my birthday badge on but didn't tell them about it beforehand. There was plenty of time to get food before our first character. There was lots of time between each character. The food was plentiful, typical breakfast fare and very enjoyable. In fact I think it was great value for money. We ate well and didn't eat again until the evening. Towards the end, our server brought out a cake with a candle and a birthday card. It was a lovely touch. |

We had breakfast here on our first morning. The food was really good and there was lots of choice. We especially liked the egg station where you can have an omlette or fried eggs cooked to order. The characters were very good with my DD and took their time with her.
We returned for lunch on Christmas day. It was a madhouse, but that could be because of the time of year! The line for the buffet food seemed to always be long so got plates for all three of us the first time I lined up! The characters still took their time with DD even though it was very busy.
We would definately go back for breakfast on our first morning again - its a lovely way to start the holiday! I think we would go back for lunch again as the food was still nice and plentiful! |

We were really dissapointed with restaurant. The food was low quality, and as abundant as you would think. The characters spent very little time with my daughter and seemed to just be trying to get to each table as soon as possible. |

We had breakfast here in Oct '11 and had great food and fun with the characters so decided to book for dinner this year; we were SO disappointed. The food choice wasn't brilliant and wasn't getting replaced; our sever only conversed with us when he brought the bill and the characters just seemed to be going through the motions. It spoilt our last evening. |

Family loved this. Great variety of food, though desserts a bit disappointing. It's the characters that make it special and you get lots of them. Kids enjoyed it and even got some decent food inside them. Lovely start to our holiday. |

We usually have lunch here about 2 oclock as we dont fancy going straight on Space mountain from breakfast,( we do this as AK with Expedition so know its not such a good idea)
Going for lunch is fine at this time as not as packed as 12-1 and not the Dinner prices yet so still reasonable. This one is one of our favourite character meals. The last visit was really funny as we had a really naughty Tigger who wouldn't do what he was told. |

We wanted to go to a character meal we hadn't done before so I booked for the breakfast. Another reason we wanted to do the breakfast was to get a picture outside the castle while nobody was in the park. The queue was long when we arrived to check in but wasn't a problem only had about 10 minutes wait. We was given a pager while our table was being prepared and only waited about 5 minutes before it went off. We was seated on a large table there were 5 of us in our party and the server was great. We was offered apple or orange juice and was asked if we wanted coffee or tea. We had both so he brought out a big coffee pot and a tea pot, lots of cream, milk and sugars. As soon as you finished your fruit juice he refilled it up straight away. The Buffet was ok it had salmon, lots of fresh fruit, croissant and the usual bacon eggs and sausage. The meal was very expensive but to be honest you really pay for the experience which is get close up to your favourite characters. Daughter was really happy so that's what makes it special. Tigger, pooh, eeyore and piglet came round lots of times and interacted with everyone at our table. We have been here now and wouldn't go back again. |

We went to Crystal Palace for breakfast on our first morningin Orlando. I booked our reservation 180 days before the date we wanted to go on the Disney website which guaranteed us a table and I made the reservation time for 08:05am, before the park opened so we could get some photos of our children in front of the castle on Main Street before the park opened.
Unfortunately due to some ticketing problems we were running late for our reservation, but we were still seated almost straight away when we arrived.
It was quite busy but our server brought us some hot tea, coffee and orange juice more or less straight away and we were told to go up to the buffet and help ourselves to breakfast.
The food was delicious, especially the Mickey waffles and Pooh puffed french toast (found in the children's buffet section). Definitely try it!
Our server was pretty slow with the drinks refills, but we went up 3 or 4 times for food and Pooh and friends kept us all amused with lots of photo opportunities. Although it was busy, we never felt rushed.
Although it was quite expensive, when we split the cost between the 7 of us it worked out about £16 each, which is well worth it for what we got in my opinion. The building itself is beautiful, light and airy and it made lots of memories to take home with us. This was one of the best meals/experiences we had in Florida and I would definately go again.

Very disappointing. Food was cold and there wasn't a lot of choice, and the characters were slow to move around the room- we waited 2 hours to see Pooh. The service was very bad. |

We had such great hopes for this, having read so many good reviews, however the food was less than average and the service was simply appalling. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, and just as long for him to actually bring them to us! Refills took forever, as well.
We had just missed Pooh doing our half of the restaurant (we were on the right hand side as you go in) but saw Eeyore after about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, we were practically the last table on the rotation, and it was painful watching the characters slowing zigzag through the tables to finally get to us. They spent a lot longer at some tables than others, and we felt quite miffed that they spent so little time with us just because we had no small children at our table.
We went for my birthday, and I had expected to find confetti on the table - especially as I watched another server preparing the table next to us for a birthday boy. I got my cupcake and card - but the cake was virtually inedible and they'd forgotten my daughter's card and I had to ask for it.
In the end we were in there 2 hours waiting to get the full set of character photos - far longer than you should have to wait. We were told that it took 1½ hours to circulate the whole restaurant, so clearly they were taking longer than they should have. |

We booked a breakfast at the Crystal Palace. There were 6 of us attending the meal to celebrate our friends Birthday. We booked the 08:05am and arrived at 8am, quickly seated. The main benefit here is early access to the park to take pictures down Main Street whilst quiet.
The breakfast itself was fairly basic, the cost seemed a little excessive for what was offered, however, the characters and location made up for it. A good range of breakfast including bagels, fruit, sausages, bacon and other hot options.
The service was average from the staff.
The characters were excellent and made sure they visited each table. There were some customers who decided to stand and wait for characters, preventing them completing their rotation of tables, thankfully the cast member asked them to sit down and wait like everyone else. |

Had a great time at Crystal palace, did it on our first day in Orlando and it was our first ever character dining event!
I think as two grown ups we thought it might be a bit strange, but if any other couples are worried - its really not! The characters are great and really funny - Tigger and Eeyore were very in character.
The restaurant itself is quite crowded but well presented and the food is great. Will happily go back next time we go - it may even become a tradition! |

This was our first ever disney restaurant and it was impressive, the building is very elegant and the system is very organised, you let them know you have arrived they then call you in when they are ready for you. You are seated, the server introduces themsleves and then your order your drinks, they explain how the buffet works and about the characters. Pooh, Tigger, eeyore and pooh then come around to your table at different intervals. The character interaction was great with enough time for pictures and cuddles. The food offerred a great selection of all types of cuisine, really good value for money and will definately come again! |

We ate at Crystal Palace on the first day of our holiday. It was the first time we had been to WDW with our children DS (8) and DD (5) and I had not made any ADRs for the first day because I wanted to see how they were doing with jet lag/time difference etc. We were heading out of the park to get food when we saw Crystal Palace and thought we would just try a walk up - we couldn't believe it when they seated us more or less straight away. I had only booked one character meal for my dd at CRT because my ds at 8 thought that it was 'too babyish' for him -so this one was sort of sprung on him! However - both loved the characters, who spent a load of time with them and my ds even got up with Tigger, bounced up and down and sang the Tigger bouncy song! Piglet accidentally hit ds in the face when he was pointing at something, which he found hilarious, particularly with Piglet trying to say sorry.
The food was good quality and nice to eat, but to be honest, we were all so distracted by the characters that the food was a bit of an afterthought for us.
It was a wonderful 'surprise' experience and ended the kids first ever day at Disney wonderfully! |

Both myself and my sister dined here for breakfast and really enjoyed it! the location is excellent in the heart of the magic kingdom. The food was buffet with a wide choice of options and the building itself was beautiful with a very relaxed environment for a character breakfast (we had done chef mickeys and 1900 park fare and found them both very rushed and noisy!). The characters seemed to come round quickly and were very friendly and posed for photos etc. It was a very good start to a magical day in the park! |

Dined here many times in the past and most recently Sept 2011.
We had dinner reservation and used a DDP credit. On being seated at our table we noticed that the server had laid out some Mickey head confetti in the shape of 3 hearts as we were newly engaged which we thought was lovely.
The place was empty as it was MNSSHP which worked in our favour as we got soooo much time with the characters. They posed for loads of pictures and just spent alot of time with each table. The food is delish in there and definitely my favourite of the WDW buffets. The server was also fantastic and made sure we always had what we needed.
Will definitely be visiting again |

We have eaten here several times over the years and never had a bad experience.
We have been for both Dinner and Breakfast and each feel that the breakfast option is our favourite. The food is very good quality!
The time with characters and photo opportunites are just brilliant!
In 2011 we took my twin nephews (2 1/2 at the time) and they throughly enjoyed it, meeting the characters and having a little fun with them! Their faces were just a picture :)
All the staff were brilliant and had plenty of time for our large party and so did the characters. Couldn't rave about this restaurant enough!
We will be returning! |

We were left feeling a bit disapointed with Crystal Palace. It was chaos in there. All of the food was together so everyone was lining up at the same time. I would have thought that cereal for example ma have been seperate to hot food to lessen the line a bit but with everything together it was crazy. My dh missed the first character due to waiting in line for breakfast. It took a good while for us to get anything to eat.
The characters were ok I suppose but it just wasnt what we imagined and I think its a lot of money for what you get. Dont think we will be returning here again :( |

We had a wonderful time here. The breakfast items were plentiful and hot, the pastries delicious and the service wonderful. He was in his element here, the characters were brilliant the interaction with my sons and husband was fab. We will be going back here this year for sure. |

Had ADR booked for dinner here didn't have to wait too long outside before being seated. Having eaten here the previous year and had good experience i was disappointed as we were sat at a really small table for our party of 6, we really had to squash round the table! The food was plentiful but some of it was cold and not as nice and varied as previous visit.
Character interaction was good and we saw all the characters twice in the time it took us to finish our meal.
Took DD to the toilet during the meal, it was not nice! The floor was really wet and had terrible smell!
Don't think i will bother booking this one again as i feel they are trying to squeeze too many people in at one time and this affects the service. |

This was our very 1st experience of a character b'fast, (and our first day ), well it was truely magical, all the characters spent alot of time with us, Tigger really played up, which added to the atmosphere. The food was yummy, the puffed bread thingy was so yummy, in fact all the food was lovely, the server we had was wonderful, we were not rushed and didn't want to leave, we got there for 8am, seated at 8.05 and left about 9.45am! .
We had a window seat directly opposite the castle.
A truely magical start to a magical holiday. |

We had breakfast here in May and it was such a magical start to the day! We had a 8.10am reservation so were able to enter the park before it opened, taking some great photos. We were seated within 5 minutes, and the characters spent time with us despite being only 2 adults. The food was delicious, lots of choice, I especially loved the peach bread pudding...for breakfast?! Only in Florida! Our server was very attentive, we never had empty glasses.
This is now a must do for us for our next trip. |

We love Pooh and his friends and the character interaction here did not disappoint. They spent a good amount of time, signed my wifes hat for us and posed for pictures with all of us. The choice of food was good as the quality. As it was my 40th, the servers bought me a card signed by all of the characters and a cake with a candle on it. We returned in April 2011 and again were impressed by the Crystal Palace. This time we celebrated my DS birthday at Crystal Palace. Food selection was brilliant. We will return here in Summer 2012 |

This was our second visit and was as magical as the first. Our two children 6 and 2 absolutely love Pooh and friends and were beside themselves. It is a bit chaotic, timing your trips to the buffet in between the characters coming around, then they play the music and the kids get up and dance around the room! But it all adds to the atmosphere and the food is fantastic, particularly the salad bar. |

I was a bit apprehensive about doing the character breakfast but my misses was all for it.
We got straight in and our drinks were served about 5 minutes later. I am a very fussy eater but i thought there was lots of selection even for me. All the characters were round our way and only took 45 minutes to see us so all in all a good experience. It is a bit pricey to be honest but it wont stop us doing it again in September 2012 |

This restaurant looks gorgeous on the outside.. a bit like a garden glass house when inside. But acceptable as a restaurant. The restaurant was clean, spacious and we didnt wait more than five minutes to be seated.. (we were seated before our time) We were on the DDDP and we had eaten so much food over the week that we werent too worried about what we had.. We were there at 3.15 for an early dinner and I cant say as though it was the best food we had had.. It was a strange combination of foods and decided that we would just get by with what we could eat (none of us are fussy eaters, however we did struggle a bit).
The characters were really friendly and happy to pose for as many photos as we wanted.. The serving staff were friendly, but some of the staff who were 'looking after' the characters and taking them round seemed a bit aggitated and tried rushing some of the characters along. This was a little annoying because the kids really want to share a few minutes with their favourite characters and you pay for the priviledge, so my advice would be to make sure that you do all the photos that you want (within reason) and dont be rushed off.. |

We visited Crystal Palace for dinner before our Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party.
This is the only restaurant where we had to wait to be seated. All other restaurants during our 2 week holiday seated us within 15 minutes of our ADR time. Here, we had to wait around 30 minutes.
It was very busy in here. The restaurant is huge but feels really magical. It is a great setting and our table faced the windows so we had a great view of Magic Kingdom and Cinderellas Castle.
We could see the characters coming to our table, so we didn't go to the buffet until we had seen all of them. They arrived in quick succession one after the other. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. The people on the table next to us had finished their meal and they were also seeing the characters at the same time as us. So, I guess it depends on when you are seated and how far around the restaurant the characters have circulated. I was glad that they came pretty much one after the other as, in other character meals, we have had to rush back from the buffet as we saw a character approach our table. This wasn't the case here. The characters were great with us all and really good fun. It wasn't rushed at all.
Then the buffet was delicious. Our favourite was this pork dish in a masala wine sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Lots of vegetables for the kids. It really was a lovely meal. The choice of desserts was wonderful - the fruit cobbler and vanilla sauce was just gorgeous.
All in all, a great meal and a great experience. We will definitely eat here again. |

Stuck in the Tower of Terror
|
We booked an early breakfast slot (8.05am) mainly to get into Magic Kingdom early for photos before the crowds and we got plenty of photos done before our breakfast time, even photopass photographers are there early!
The restaurant was very quiet due to it being so early and we were seated quickly. Hardly saw our server, but this didn't really matter. The character interaction was great, despite us being two adults. It really seemed like they made an effort to make sure we enjoyed our experience despite having no children with us. The food was great, with a huge selection of the typical hot, bakery, fruit and cereal buffet foods. |

we went here for my birthday dinner on the 6th october.
i booked an ADP and had to wait about 15 minutes for my table. the table had been decorated with little "mickeys." the restaurant was clean and tidy and there was ample, well stocked food.
the CM was very helpful as we had never been before and he kept popping over to us making sure we had everything we needed.
the food was good but i really chose this restaurant for the Pooh charactors. they did not disappoint me and all came over and made a fuss of me.
the CM gave me a little birthday cupcake and a card signed by all the charactors. he also sang Happy Birthday to me.
all in all i had a wonderful meal and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. |

We love to go here for breakfast before commencing our day at MK - has become a bit or a family tradition now! OK the food is just the normal breakfast buffet stuff (you would pay about a quarter of the price in Shoney's) but for the experience it is unbeatable!
Last time we were there it was my brother in law's birthday (note tough american cop) and he had the whole place sing happy birthday to him, was given a birthday cup cake and a card signed by Pooh & co. My baby nephew thought this was the best thing ever!
We're going back this year for a family breakfast the day before our wedding - all 19 of us! We can't wait. |

On previous trips we have always thought Crystal Palace was great. We've been there a few times for breakfast. However, on this trip we thought we'd go at night. We were gutted, because it really let us down. The food wasn't greatly warm and there wasn't much choice. It was absolutely packed, and i think things weren't being replaced quick enough. The overall quality was not great. We did get to see most of the characters whilst we were there. However, we would not consider going again at tea time, but would stick to the breakfasts in the hopes that would bring back our faith in the place! |

(August 2010) Another visit for us to Crystal Palace (fourth time so something must be good! ). The food we found, if anything, was a slight improvement on our previous visit at Easter 2009 - the beef was extremely good.
I have to admit that this time, I did "pace" myself and limited myself to using a smaller plate for the main courses - this meant that I felt pleasantly full rather than stuffed to bursting point!
Our server was also very attentive - drinks were refilled as soon as they were empty. The only minor niggle we had was that just as we sat down, Eeyore had just visited the table beyond us, and it took over an hour for him to get back round again - but no hardship if it gives you time to sneak in an extra dessert!
(Easter 2009) Our third visit, and the food did not disappoint - very good for a buffet style operation.
For this lunch, we had transferred our Crystal Palace ADR from the previous day, but realised that our 14:10 slot meant we may miss the parade. We arrived at 13:45 to check-in in the hope of getting in at our booked time, but our bums had barely touched the seats outside when we were called for our table! It looked as if they had also transferred my birthday note to this day as the table was decorated, and a small cake was delivered during the meal together with a card.
Good character interaction with a visit from each of Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger.
However, it was noticeable that the service did not appear to be as efficient as on our previous visits in 2005 and 2007 – our waiter seemed to be much more stretched with the number of tables he was serving, plates were left to accumulate on all of the tables (previously they had been removed almost immediately you had finished), and we had to request drink refills (again, previously these arrived without asking). Despite this, the food was of a high quality, and we felt it was worth the money.

The buffet food was exquisite, and cooked to perfection;the waiting service was efficient, atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and character interaction was excellent.Detail to attention was superb.Would highly recommend to anyone-young or old. |

What a beautiful restaurant. We had an 8.00am ADR here and it was bliss. The restaurant was so quiet and we had a lovely, peaceful hour in the most wonderful surroundings. Great character interaction. By the time we left, the place was full but we still managed to get to rope drop before the hoards of people being held near the entrance miles behind us!
What a magical place! |

I have to admit I had my doubts initially about Crystal Palace but I have to say it was wonderful. Our server was absolutely lovely - I think she was about the only one all trip that must have listed every single drink on the menu! The food was all brilliant and as we ate lunchtime even if we hadn't been on the ddp the price wouldn't have been to extortionate. The characters were very friendly and it wasn't actually as noisy as I would have thought it would be. It's in an ideal location and the interior of the restaurant was also lovely and clean. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone else and out of the four character restaurants we ate at this was definitely our favourite. |

Dined here for an early dinner at around 3pm. Choice of food was great and there was something for all of us. Great choice of salads. The restaurant was big and nice and open. Found character interaction to be quite minimal. Characters came to the table and posed for photos and that was about it. Our server wasn't one bit pleasant at all. She took ages to bring our bill and didn't have the same Disney cheer as others. Also found for four adults it was very expensive. Would go here again but would mainly keep it for a very special occasion. |

Had breakfast at 9.20am. 2 adults, 1 child and 2 infants. Breakfast was buffet style and to Disneys high standard. Servers were excellent, attentive and helpful. Also had lunch, a late booking. Was as good, if not better! The ham/beef carvery was amazing, as were the desserts. I love Disney! |

i first went to this restaurant in June 2002 when i was 7 and i can still remember meeting the characters and eating tons of ice-cream. i have been back 3 or 4 times over the years and most recently last July and my little brother aged 6 and cousin aged 4 loved eating with the characters and had a great time.
it is a nice and cool restaurant, out of the hustle and bustle of the magic kingdom, but still has a great view of the castle.
the food is lovely and re-energizes you for the rest of your day.
i would defiantly recommend this place :) ! |

We booked an early breakfast slot (8.05am) mainly to get into Magic Kingdom early for photos of Main Street and the castle before the masses arrive.
The restaurant was quiet due to it being early and we were seated quickly. Hardly saw our server, but she did appear promptly with Refills of Coffee and OJ The character interaction was great, Our youngest daughter loves this place probably more for dancing with Tigger than anything else.
The food was great, with a huge selection of the typical hot, bakery, fruit and cereal buffet foods.
Would recommend this location especially if you book an ADR time slot before park opening. |

Picked this restaurant as our first character dining experience, it was also my birthday and I am Tigger mad. Weren't sure what to expect but am so glad we went and will hopefully return one day. The food is great, so much to choose from and the carved meat was superb, the rotisserie chicken was unbeliveable, the staff were really friendly always re-filling our drinks. We were a couple with no kids but the characters still came over and spent time with us and even signed the birthday card my OH had bought with him. |

Loved this restaurant. Had a character breakfast here on our second day which was our first day in the MK. Real rush to get there but the photos in front of the castle were well worth it. Building itself is beautiful and the character interaction was good, buffet was the best buffet we had but I'm not a massive fan of buffets. |

Went to Crystal Palace as a birthday treat paid for by my DH, it was a total surprise until the morning. Around an hour before our reservation time the heavens opened & a full on 3 hour thunderstorm started so we headed here early, we were seated within 15 minutes & the queue outside was now huge as a lot of Magic Kingdom was shut due to the bed weather.
Was charged adult price for eldest DD (she's 10) wheras at Garden Grill was only charged child price which can make a HUGE difference. Total including cake (which was AMAZING - I have photos!) was $200 but it was worth every single cent.
DH said the salmon was amazing, there was plenty of choice in salads, mains & desserts. I was brought a 'cupcake' free as it was my birthday & a card signed by Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet. Characters kept coming back to our table & was just wonderful for everyone.
Very expensive but if we had the money would come again, it's a birthday I will remember for a LONG time. |

There’s nothing like a breakfast or lunch at the CP on your first day in the MK to really get you into the mood. As you wait for your table you can step on to the terrace and watch the world go by.
Inside the restaurant you’ll find a large dining area and a typical buffet set up. Your server will take your drinks order and talk you through the buffet / character experience.
I think the CP makes an excellent mid day break place with a chance to sit down and cool off, boosting those energy levels for the afternoon.
The food is super with a wide array of choices, notably the yummy salads and a kids table which includes chicken fingers and mac ‘n cheese.
I would recommend this restaurant without a doubt, I take everyone I have been to WDW with. We have just booked a spontaneous trip and I was gutted to not be able to get an ADR!

We have been coming here for years and it is our favourite character dining experience. The food is great, the staff was really friendly always re-filling our drinks. We are a couple and so we just want a bit of character interaction, nothing too much and the characters appreciate that and pick up your vibes, we usually have a cuddle and they're on their way. With other tables (especially with children) they spend more time. This will be a must do dinner on our DDP in September 2010. Due to the free DDP it makes turning up on the day for a table almost impossible. Make sure you book in advance so that you're not disappointed! |

was very dissapointed in this restaurant after hearing so many good reviews about it we went for my DD 12th birthday and i thought the food was extremely poor for the price we were asked to pay(i know its disney and your paying for the characters etc) but come on you get better in a berni inn! the only thing that was good was the server who was really kind to my eldest on her birthday and even sang to her but we ended up paying $220 with a cake for four of us(with tip) never again! |

Over 6 years, we have been to WDW 5 times and dined at this restaurant on 3 of those occasions. Each time, my review would be the same...
The characters are very good at the CP - assuming you like Pooh and friends - and they always give you the time you want without feeling they are rushing off to see the next table. The restaurant is spacious, clean and bright which is more than can be said to some others in WDW. The food is buffet style - all you can eat - and the selection is only "so-so". There are many other better Disney dining options from a food perspective but personally, there is little food here to my taste so I find I probably only sample 20% of the offerings at most.
If you plan to dine here, you definately need to make reservations so don't leave it till the day you visit the park or you may be disappointed. The wait time for your table once you're checked in is fairly random - I think we waited for 20 mins or so which is ok but would be much worse in peak times I should imagine.
The service was friendly enough and efficient.
In summary:
If it weren't for the characters at this restaurant and that I have a young daughter who appreciates them, I probably would skip the CP in favour of much better dining options. |

This was our first character breakfast and we were very impressed. We arrived 15 minutes before our booked time, we waited less than 5 minutes before being seated. Our server was friendly and spent time chatting with our daughter and giving her some information about what would happen. Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore all spent quite a bit of time with us getting photos taken and hugs from our daughter, she just loved it.
The food was fantastic and constantly replenished, we didn't feel at all rushed and will definitely go back. |

This is my favourite Character Dining experience. We have eaten here for breakfast and dinner and it has the best choce. The characters are great - you get to see them all at least twice and are really funny when you bump into them at the buffet tables. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would never miss an opportunity to dine at this restaurant. |

mixed thoughts on this place to be honest. the food was fabulous and was constantly being renewed, but it seemed the staff were under constant pressure to get em in, get em out! the character interaction was nice, but it was literally, sign, photo, next please! great for pooh fans, but been there, done it and wont be rushing back! |

This restaurant is very popular (for obvious reasons!) This was our second visit, and we were made late by a big queue to check-in, and were subsequently taken to our table about 45 mins late as they were running 30 mins behind. The buffet set-up was good, quality of food here was great also. It is too busy for its own good though - not so bad inside, but the outside court is chaotic/very hard to get through at times! I would deffo go back here though. |

For the large sum of money for a family of 7 to dine at this place, I was VERY disappointed if im brutally honest :(
There isnt a huge amount of food to choose from I would say. When the characters come round, although they are very friendly, they can also be very annoying. Of course young children will love the place, winnie the pooh characters around the place doing parades and such and the unlimited deserts.
There is a TINY section of food made specifically for children, and when i say that I mean literally a food selection of say 'Plain pasta, meatballs and maybe two other things...'
For the price you pay for a childs admission, you arent going to get your monies worth in food, quality or quantity im afraid.
My family went back in September/October 06, I was told that my little sister, then about 5 years old got a bit inquizative and tried to look underneath a characters headpiece, and the character got very angry and told her off :/ Obviously that down to the person under the suit and not the actual place but im sure it made an impact on the dining experience there. |

There is a lot of variety of food and has a lot of variety for the younger children.
The characters are great.

The only thing is while you are waiting for a table it is very busy outside and there isn't many seats but you do get seated quite quickly. |

We love this place! Have had dinner a number of times over the years and always been a great choice of fresh salads and a good selection of veggie food (I'm a strict veggie). Always managed to meet Winnie & friends and |I have a lovely picture of my dd who was 2 at the time having a cuddle with Piglet away from the tables. Even my dd15 loves the characters and is happy to have photos taken. She draws the line at the march around the restaurant waving her napkin tho!
We went for breakfast in August 2009. It was fab! Lovely fresh fruit as well as the usual bakery fayre and cooked breakfast. Not so great for me as I cant eat eggs and obviously the cooked food was a no go but I found grits and biscuits so with the fruit and bakery I was happy. Too much food first thing in the morning was a bit overwhelming as we are not big brekkie eaters, normally toast and/or cereal but for a treat the family loved it. We were rather surprised to see icecream for breakfast but hey, when in WDW... ! The characters were good too, lots of time to eat and have pics taken. My only criticism was that we felt rushed, not because the staff were hurrying us along but because the park was opening whilst we were there and we wanted to get on the rides! But the highlight was walking into the park before opening and seeing Main St deserted. If we had realised we would have headed in slightly earlier and had more pics taken. Will be booking for brekkie again this year. |

Booked this restaurant based on all the green ticks it'd been given. Its horses for courses I suppose, but this we ranked last out of the thirteen on our DDP, though remember there's some pretty good ones out there. Food was good, especially the mussels, and the kids loved the buffet style where they can choose what they want. Where it fell down for us was the ambience. We had to queue for ten minutes outside just to register our ADR, so loads of people were crowded outside in the heat queuing and waiting for their beepers to go off. We had a 30 minute wait, then once inside it was bedlam with long queues for the buffet - not relaxing at all, and this was at 5pm so not exactly peak time. We passed by a few times over our holiday and it always seemed to be as busy, unlike most other restuarants during our stay. Most were full, but they didn't seem to have the chaos that this one did. |

Great location, very light and airy inside. Food was help yourself and very good quality. It was nice to get into some air-con for lunch. Characters don't give you more than a couple of seconds though, so have your camera ready or they will just go onto the next table. Would def. go again though. |

This is always one of the first restaurants on our list every year and the only one we visit twice during each holiday, one breakfast one lunch. Choice of food is ample and of good quality. Character Interaction is great and staff are always very friendly. Only thing I would warn is that it can tend to be a little noisy but that never bothers us, we are a noisy family lol |

Wow. what a gem this place is.. Food was amazing and as many visits as you want.. we never felt rushed at all, as others has said and was impressed that if you ask your server for certain food stuffs not on the buffet, they will try their best to rustle something up (we weren't the ones being picky by the way, but lots of people around us were and they got what they wanted.. Must try and get them to manage Pie, mash and liquor next time that'll blow their mind LOL). My 2 mostly sullen, cynical Teenagers loved the charachter interactions and got 2 visits from each to our table. One tip is to book a table just before you're about to go home for the day, as i felt so stuffed i was unable to walk for a good few hours after! |

We were fortunate enough to just turn up for dinner and be given a table without prior booking. The food was very good and the whole experience is, in our opinion, the best character dining out of the four or five we have tried. Disney seem to have hit on a winning formula with this and so hopefully it will not change for a long while to come. |

Love love lunch here, the food is very scrummy and I especially like the salad bar. All the food is really fresh and because they tend to cook things that everyone likes it means that there is a fast turnover of food and so no “crusty buffetitis“ as I call it.
That said we were really really disappointed with the character interaction here. Pooh and Tigger were really quite dull, we got a little more out of Eeyore but Piglet got the gold Interaction star this time round. The characters sort of left us a little flat oh and our server was in Cuckoo Land she was so lame urghhhhh.
But the desserts were phenomenal.

We went here for lunch, and the food was good. I have a hard time with buffets though, as I really prefer selecting a meal from a menu rather than having a bit of this and a bit of that.
My main gripe was how long the characters took to come round. We had booked because DD is an Eeyore obsessive. We were done, paid and table cleared in 50 minutes or so, but had only seen Pooh and Tigger. DD offered to let us leave, but we'd paid to see Eeyore and by golly we were going to see Eeyore! The waitress fussed over us sitting at an empty table she could have been earning another tip from, but we sat tight - saw Piglet after about 65 minutes and then finally left after 80 minutes when Eeyore finally got to us.
So allow a looooong time here if you want to see all 4 characters. |

I have eaten at the Crystal Palace a couple of times, and it was a great experience all round. The food selection in my opinion catered to everyone's needs, serving everything from fish to chicken nuggets, so parents can escape fast food overload for at least one meal, while keeping the kids happy. The staff were as usual very kind and helpful, as you would expect from Disney.
I also think its a great character dining experience. The restaurant is home to Winnie the Pooh and Friends and on both occasions I have eaten here, the characters enthusiasm was really infectious, even as a pair of grown adults who are not into meeting the characters etc, we got sucked into the whole event and joined in he clapping and napkin over the head spinning as the characters came dancing through the restaurant! (Tigger is always a highlight).
I would say I didn't visit on my last trip in June just gone, as I felt the prices had gone up a lot, but I soon realised this was the case across property, so based on Disney prices, if you can afford it, it's still good value.
One extra note for those who are sad like me and enjoy little bits of Disney World design and history, if you look at the outside of there restaurant and in particular the garden, you will notice the the half nearest Main Street USA is really well kept and looks really American, the half nearest Adventure Land is a little more wild in the garden area and the restaurant looks like the restaurants in India that us Brits built around the turn of the century. The restaurant was specifically designed like this as WDW is big on smooth transitions between lands, and apparently Crystal Palace is the main transition piece between these lands! |

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here during our 2-week stay. We have eaten here on all our other trips aswell.
We love the food on offer... a wide variety - well know foods that kids will eat, healthy foods, desserts, meats, fish and other more exotic foods. Beautiful themeing. Very attentive staff... went for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary and the waitor notice their badges. After our meal he brought out a special cupcake with candle and made an announcement to the whole restaurant. Then my parents were asked to kiss and were showered in "pixie dust" Pooh bear then came over for a group photo and handed my parents a certificate signed by all the pooh bear characters. The characters all interacted exceptionally well and spend a good amount of time with each table.
Ask to be seated on the side with windows... the views of cinderella castle are amazing, especially if a parade is showing at the time.
Overall, one of my favourite Disney restaurants and will eat there on all out disney trips. |

Booked well in advance. The meal was booked for ten past 2, although we had to wait at least 25 mins on top of this. This doesn't normally bother us, but as it was really hot and we had to wait outside it was uncomfortable. Food was fine, although I am not really impressed with buffet service. Character interaction was OK, although my kids didn't get to see all of the characters due to the way the setup seems to be. Waiter was only really attentive at the end of the meal. We gave a decent tip although with this type of restaurant I think it's a bit of cheek for someone who brings you a drink at the start and clears your plates at the end of the meal. Probably won't bother with this again, much prefer CRT or Princess Storybook meal (mainly due to quality of food and not really liking buffet/canteen type dining). |

We went here for my nephew's 10th Birthday. The staff and characters made it so special, with Tigger giving him a little cake. They sing songs and march round the restaurant. Being a buffet was great for my nephew as he had been classed as an adult and was finding all the food on the Dining Plan a little too much for him, being able to have a plate full of macaroni cheese made his day. But there was lots of food to choose from, including a carvery which was amazing. All of my party enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers were great. It was so clean and nice, we had wanted to return during our holiday but could not fit it in. Would definitely recommend this to children and adults of all ages. |

Have eaten lunch and dinner here several times as a couple and also as a family- myself, my husband, my parents and our 2 children aged 7 and 4. Advance booking recommended but as a couple we did get a table on 2 occassions just as a walk up on the day. Very good selection for all ages and also for picky eaters and veggies -later 2 apply to myself. very good table service, nice staff, lovely decor, great chance for kids and adults to meet characters. We ate there on our honeymoon and received a small cake with a candle and sprinkles on our table and we also received a certificate to mark the event. We will be in WDW in OCT 09 and have booked to eat here 4 times we like it so much! |

Our first experience of Character Dining and all I can say is that it was a fabulous experience.
We wondered what our 1 year old DD would think, but we shouldn't have worried, she loved the characters.
The choice of food was vast and something for everyone, the room was busy and yet we were not rushed by our server who was fantastic.
Something we will definately do again on our next trip. Highly recommended |

This was our first character dining and we were not disappointed. We had booked tea with Pooh ,Piglet , eyeore and Tigger on what turned out to be a really busy day.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating even though they were run off their feet !.Even thoughit was busy the standard of food was good and the characters all spent quality time with the kids .Agreat start to our trip ! |

We ate dinner here this time and it remains one of our favourite theme park restaurants. The buffet has an excellent choice of food, all fresh and well presented.
The character interaction is excellent and the lighting and surroundings are superb for photographs with Pooh and friends. We've had the same server here a few times and the service is always extremely attentive with nothing too much trouble. The servers are very good at tipping you off when characters are due around so you are not at the buffet when they appear at your table.
We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and it will always be one to include in our plans. Just lovely in all respects |

We had breakfast here. My youngest daughter was so excited when she seen Pooh. Definately a must do with toddlers. The food was fantastic and my husband rates it as on of the best breakfasts of our whole holiday. Service was great and our server was very nice. My oldest enjoyed dancing around the resteraunt with tigger and other kids in a chain. A must do! |

We originally planned to only do lunch at the Crystal Palace, but were so impressed that we booked for breakfast later in our trip it is that good.
Character interaction is superb, they made a real effort with our 16 month old little girl and the range and quality of food on offer is excellent for the price. Didn't feel rushed and the servers can't do enough for you. |

A must for those with small children. Their faces light up on seeing Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore! The buffet is a feast at breakfast time (the time we went) large bowls of delicious strawberries, pancakes, eggs cooked how you like them, delicious pastries, bacon... yummy! We were still full at lunchtime lol. We had such a good time we are going back again this November (2009)! |

We had dinner here and it was amazing! We all love Pooh and friends so it was just great - We found we had to time going up for the food so as not to miss the characters coming round but that was fine. The food was yummy and they were really great at sending the chef out so my eldest daughter could discuss her allergies and find out what she could and couldnt eat and they also brought out some special things for her so she didnt feel left out at all. We would go again anytime we loved it so much! |

Eating here is an absolute must, the food is just gorgeous, you can eat as much or as little as you like. We were celerbrating our little girls 2nd birthday on our first visit to crystal palace and she was thrilled with the fuss that was made of her when our waitress brought out a little cake with a candle on it for her to blow out, everyone sang happy birthday to her, she was made up! We were lucky enough to book another 2 visits during our last stay and I'm going to be calling them up very soon to book another few meals there for our forthcoming trip. All 3 of our visits here were at lunch time and like I say, the food was lovely. don't hesitate to book, I give this place 5/5. |

We have twice done the breakfast and once lunch, my preference is for the breakfast -sets you up for the day. The character interaction is great. I also love the surroundings. |

This was just a fantastic meal. The location is great and the character interaction was amazing. DW and i didn't want to get up as the characters just kept coming round and we didn't want to miss the pictures we could get with the children. Once we got to the buffet, the food was great with lots of choice. A great lunch and a meal that we will happily do again! |

Surfing at Typhoon Lagoon

This was one of the highlights of our trip.
When we went the parks were heaving, but as a family of 6 we were seated relatively soon after our reservation.
The food (dinner )was good, tasty but nothing fine... suited us... lots to choose from and it was hot!
The drinks were kept topped up by a very attentive waitress.
The characters were amazing... they spent a good 10 minutes each with us as a larger family. And we were able to get some cracking photo's.
We did have to wait a while to see eeyore, who was sat near the front of the restaurant. But it was worth the wait..
I can't wait to go back it is on our 'must do again' list. |

We had breakfast here and we were quite disappointed in the character interaction and the lack of food. We did go at the busiest time, Chirstmas, so this could have something to do with it. It was very busy.
We have ate here before and had a excellent meal and excellent character interaction. It will be awhile before we eat here again. |

We make a point of eating here at least once during our holidays. In all we have eaten here about 4 times and have never been disappointed and our last meal was delicious and we had plenty of character interaction. As before the choice of mains was amazing as is their desert selection! We always go here for lunch as it breaks the day up nicely . |

We had dinner here, the food was all delicous, although I particulary loved the shrimp, the character interaction is pretty good here and they had a mini parade around the tables with kids joining in great fun, it was pretty busy so I would recommend an ADR, as always the selection of deserts was very good |

Maybe we just hit it on a bad day...
I was really looking forward to this as our DD is a massive Pooh Bear freak... the interaction was ok (ish) with the characters... as it's such a massive place they do not have long with the children and we saw two arguments (one a massive one with punches almsot thrown) where the mother's felt that Pooh bear didn't spend enough time with their children!
Buffet Food I found was very rich and our daughter hardly had anything of note.
We have done 5 or 6 other character meals/breakfasts and this was the least memorable of the lot. The surroundings however are beautiful.
As i said I may well have just found it on a bad day. |

Had breakfast the lunch here. the food was wonderful and plenty of it as its a buffet style. We like Cooling off her at lunchtime, without going out of the park. DD loved all the characters who came around at least 3 times during our meal. |

Lovely Character breakfast venue. The restaurant is light an airy and feels just right for Winne the Pooh and his friends. Food is great with plenty of choice. Lots of charcaters and plenty of time for photos and autographs. Felt very laid back and relaxed. |

character dining as only Disney can do.This is I think one of the best character meals. We went for Dinner got there early and sat outside and waited. We had a resavasion for 7pm at 5 to 7 we where called and seated. The food was ok and when something ran out they replaced it quicky. character interaction was very good.Even though there where 2 adults in our party each character spent 7 to 8 mins with us.Price was ok and it was very clean |

We had breakfast at CP on what was a very busy day. The food was good and the selection great but the service was a little slow and the characters were hard to catch! For us it was just too busy but we will try it again some day.
The venue itself is lovely.
