1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare
Location Grand Floridian
Description Offers breakfast and dinner buffets with American-style cuisine and menu selections that change frequently. Both buffets are hosted by popular Disney Characters who are delighted to pose for photos or sign an autograph.

Character Dining at 1900 Park Fare

Supercalifragilistic Breakfast — Join Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and other Wonderland friends for the festivities at the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. For little ones aged 3-9 there are special selections, like light and fluffy mini pancakes or Mickey-shaped waffles. Guests can also step up to the omelet station for custom-made concoctions.

Wonderland Tea Party — Alice and her Wonderland friends return in the afternoon to entertain kids ages 4-12 for an hour with stories, games and cupcakes. To sip on, kids are given cups of a special "tea," (which tastes like apple juice, how curious). Pint-sized partygoers "finger paint" designs and add decorations to the tops of cupcakes and then, the best part, they eat the cakes! How sweet is that?

Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner — In the evening, Cinderella, Prince Charming and other storybook Characters welcome Guests to the enchanting Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner buffet, where kid-friendly entrees may include chicken, cheese pizza, and macaroni and cheese.

Big Bertha Concerts

As part of the whimsical Victorian decor, the dining room features a fanciful fairground organ from France known as "Big Bertha." This mighty organ provides musical accompaniment to meals with her multitude of instruments, including pipes, drums, a xylophone and castanets. Come hear Big Bertha's concerts and meet Disney Characters while dining from a bountiful buffet!

Went her one night for the character dinner in August 2019. When we arrived we waited about 35 minutes to be seated when people with later reservation times than us had already been seated. Staff at the tseating area were not very friendly nor was our server who seemed like she just didn't want to be there. I am a vegetarian and this was the second best beffet (after tusker house) regarding vegetarian food- there are quite a few options but nothing out of the ordinary whereas tusker house had more unique options. The 4 other meat eaters in my family all found something to eat as well; all food tasted nice. Character interactions were the best out of any character meal we did (met cinderella, prince charming, lady tremaine, anastasia and drizella) with the ugly sisters being especially funny. Overall not a bad restaurant, however I don/t feel as if yu need to keep going back, once was enough to experience everything it had to offer without wanting any more.

Our family’s favourite Character meal. The best selection of characters for breakfast and dinner. The servers and communication on how the characters move around is great. The food is super good! 10/10

Had a late breakfast (11am) which was our lunch that day. There was a great selection of food, the pancakes and made to order omlettes were our favourites but there was all the usual breakfast fare.

The juice punch served was very tasty, and our glasses were never allowed to get empty.

The character interactions were good, as we were there so late in the breakfast "window" the restaurant was only about half full so we had a long time which each character and saw some more than once. I think Alice stopped by 3 or 4 times.

We really loved this for the interactions with the cast members. We had a dinner reservation so we met Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the step sisters and step mother. They were the best for chatting and making a fuss of the kids. My DS aged 11 was hiding from the step sisters as they kept asking him if he was rich and owned a castle. The food was typical disney buffet, nothing amazing, but we liked it and the kids like being able to select what they want and kept popping back up.

This was our second time dining here. It was just as good as before. The breakfast choice is wonderful - eggs benedict for me! The character interaction is excellent - especially from the mad hatter. It took about 90 mins for all the characters to come around. It's lovely to be able to get the boat from magic kingdom to the grand Floridian and also take a walk around the hotel.

Had dinner here with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Tremaines. Food was hot, fresh and plentiful. There is a separate kids selection on the buffet with pizza, mac n cheese and chicken nuggets. Desserts were delicious! Character interaction was excellent, particularly from Lady Tremaine and Anastasia!

We ate here with my Dad, who took a real shine to Mary Poppins! The food is great, the strawberry soup is definitely something special. I am not the hugest fan of 'face' characters but the Mad Hatter was brilliant. Love the location, Grand Floridian is a beautiful hotel. Will return one day but it's not on my MUST DO list.

We waited ages and ages in a queue to have our photo taken before we were allowed in the restaurant.

We were eventually allowed into 1900 Park Fare and were shown to a table near the restrooms. Our server took our drinks orders and told us to go up and help ourselves as it was a buffet dinner.
There seemed to be quite a variety of foods, but nothing particularly took my fancy. I think I had small amounts of roast pork, peel and eat shrimp, mashed potatoes, chicken, salmon and stir fry beef over two trips and also got a bowl full of strawberry soup for everyone to try after hearing so many raving reviews of it on the Dibb. We all thought it was a bit “meh” to be honest. The kids had pizza, chicken nuggets and other such junk food. The food was just OK and I’m certainly not in a hurry to go back. If I wasn’t on the dining plan I would have been very upset paying OOP for it.

That said, the character interaction was good which is what you're paying for. Service was OK. We got our drinks and the bill but wasn't no body was readily available if we had needed anything.

During fortnight went to both breakfast and dinner. Both great and would TOTALLY recommend - especially if you have little ones as characters circulate rooms quicker than other character meals we have done and room is smaller and hence quieter although not too quiet. Food is good quality and table service staff very attentive (again benefit of small room). I have two girls 10 and 12 and we loved stepmother and ugly sisters which had us in stitches. Lovely chance to visit Grand Floridian too. Would book again.

The chef came and ran us through the ingredients of most of the dishes on the buffet, which was great. There turned out to be very little I could eat due to the inclusion of both onion and garlic (and peppers), and in general the food seemed over-fussy. The children's selection was the usual bland rubbish that Disney provide - chicken nuggets, potato hash brown bites, corn dogs and tasteless macaroni cheese - but this proved to be my salvation! Disney has an obsession with mash - and it either has garlic or copious amounts of black pepper in it, not to mention loads of buttermilk which is definitely over the top for me.

The highlights were the beef and Guinness casserole, Durban chicken (a wee bit spicy, but manageable) and the mini hash brown bites! The desserts were fab, however, and I loved the apple cobbler.

The character interraction is brilliant here - once they eventually make their way to you. They spend time with everyone (including the grown up kiddies) and tend to come round time and time again.

So, the food was meh but the company was great.

We had an evening buffet with character dining at this restaurant. My little girl is allergic to cows milk. The chef walked the buffet with me pointing out what she could and could not have. The main difference with UK restaurants was that he was more than willing to make anything she couldn't have dairy free. He also made her an amazing dessert using rice milk ice cream. Go Disney! we'll definitely be back.

We Loved it here! The food was lovely and the Character interaction at breakfast was fantastic. It was busy and a bit noisy, but then so are all the buffet restaurants.
It was my DH's birthday and I had ordered a special cake for him form the GF bakery which the CMs brought out. Cake was amazing! Really can't fault this restaurant and we will def be back on our next visit.

It was okay - good choice of food, and server friendly. But there was something missing. Not sure what though. The characters were okay, but bit rushed, but the atmosphere was not the same as at Ohana's or Chef Mickeys. A good experience, but don't think would do this one again.

Having had both breakfast and lunch here over the years we decided to try dinner. The selection was a lot better than what I was expecting and everything was cooked perfect and tasted just as good however the best part had to be the interaction from the characters with our party. They spent plenty of time with us and even came back around a 2nd time. So thumbs up from me :)

Although my 2 children are too old for character dining, we chose to eat here as it was the best use of our DDP if we wanted to eat at Grand Floridian - we were nosy and wanted to have a look around. Grand Floridian is gorgeous. Food is your usual character buffet fayre and the restaurant is busy, noisy and crowded. The character interaction was really very good - even though we weren't interested in the characters, the 2 ugly sisters were great fun and they had DS and DH laughing so much the whole restaurant was looking. This is definitely worth a visit.

Loved going to The Grand Floridian; the food was varied, plentiful and tasty, our server was helpful and chatty and the Characters were excellent even getting my DH and the boys involved. Great evening which was finished off by watching Wishes from the Marina.

We had both dinner and breakfast reservations here for our last trip. We booked dinner for the evening of our first full day and it was probably a mistake because everyone was quite tired but it was still enjoyable. Lady Tremaine & the Ugly Sisters are absolutely fabulous and great entertainment. Cinderella & Prince Charming chose my DD to waltz with so that was nice. Food was good and extensive choice. Breakfast felt rushed with standard choice. Bottom line... would do dinner again but not breakfast.

Done this once before, most recently Sept 2011.

After being seated we felt very rushed to get all of the pictures with characters and it felt a little chaotic for my liking. Once the characters came round I just felt stressed and tried to avoid them cause I couldn't be bothered.

The food is great and the service is ace too. Probably won't be doing it again now but would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't been before.

Wonderful character breakfast experience, would love to go back. The food and staff were brilliant and catering just lovely!
Nothing here is too much trouble!
The characters came around real quickly, we had the opportunity for a photo and bit of fun with each character twice over during our breakfast! :)
On arrival our server was great, explained everything including characters, timings and gave us some lovely starting juices and tailored the kids drinks to just what they like, she couldnt have done more for us.
Lovely experience, definately want to return!

Although we did have to wait nearly an hour after an ADR before we was seated, i understand that your ADR is only a rough estimate of when you will be sat and not garunteed but there was only 2 of us and it was the longest we had to wait for the whole holiday

Sorry if this is not what you want to hear...

We were so looking forward to eating b'fast here, it was Emma's 7th b'day, she loves Mary Poppins and Alice... we had a ADR booked for 7.30, got the early b'fast bus at 6.30, had to use the monorail as boats don't run that early, took us about 45 mins on the mono rail (as it had a fault and kept stopping).

Arrived 5 mins late, but that was no hassle with them, the grand is an amazing place, (but somehow my kids didn't get the grand feeling like I did, but we did see a bride getting married on the way out and Libby declared she wants to get married there! ).

Anyway back to the food, we had the photo taken, but it was really rushed, so didn't bother to get it... we then had the opening ceremony and that was lovely, there it goes down hill, we were practically ran to our table, everything was ready for us, (even coffee poured into my cup before I reached the table), we were told (or shouted at) to go to the buffet as the characters will be out in 3 mins 30 secs!
The food choice was lovely, but didn't taste lovely, (the eggs had a funny taste to them, and I do wonder if that is why Jake was so ill that evening, as he was the only one to eat all of his egg).
The fruit was delicious, and the strawberry soup was novel, the pastries were stale, (like they had been out all night).
The characters came by in a flash, hardly enough time to get my camera out or video it, thankfully Emma had seen Mary Poppins in Epcot the day before and spent about 5 mins with her then.

wouldn't really go back again.

We were on the DDDP and we were determined to make the most of it, so booked this restaurant as a way of seeing Mary Poppins without standing in a huge queue. We made a reservation and left plenty of time to get there.. it took us almost two hours to get from the Beach Club to the Grand Floridian. We made the mistake of using the Monorail from Magic Kingdom instead of the boat and this was a mistake as it goes the other way round the loop not direct to the Hotel. We arrived 20 minutes late and i was convinced we had missed our reservation, however we hadnt.. and they were only too pleased to accomodate us.

On our arrival they took photos of us with a Disney Cinderella's castle and garden scene, which we chose to buy for just under $30. We received 1 large framed photo and two small with smaller frames.

The buffet was slightly different to Cape May Cafe, which was a nice change. The hotel was gorgeous and the restaurant was clean. The staff were friendly enough, but the server at our table was quite abrupt and we didnt get to see much of her, however our aim was to see the characters, so were happy to see Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins and Tigger & Pooh. We ate and headed off to enjoy our day.

Did a character breakfast here, did'nt enjoy at all, terrible service from our server who after showing us to our table disappeared for 15 minutes then returned to our table with coffee and barked that we could help ourselves from the buffet, which, does'nt have the variety of other character breakfasts. Character interaction was a quick visit to our table by Tigger. My son was not impressed.

We had breakfast here part way through our trip in 2010. Overall we thought the character experience was very good - run fairly and with a fantastic choice of characters. The food was also good. However, we found the place itself to look a little run down which is not what we had expected. Not sure that we would have this on our 'must do' list for next time, but wouldn't be against a visit at somepoint in the future. We did however enjoy having a good nosey round the Grand Floridian!

This is one of our favourite character dining experiences with our girls (4 10 and 17). The food is in plentiful supply and the overall selection of food caters for all of our tastes.

The staff are very friendly and approachable.

We tend to visit this restaurant for both breakfast and dinner to experience both character meals. Breakfast is a hoot especially with the Mad Hatter who is always up to no good. Dinner is also a must if you you want to see the elusive Cinderella.

Oh you must sample the Strawberry Soup at breafast.

We took the advantage of having a limo to drive us there.
The hotel is stunning and staff are very welcoming.
The food did not disappoint, hubby had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, there was a great choice of everything which was fresh and hot too.
The interaction with the characters was superb, our highlight was when Pooh bear came back to our table and made an extra fuss of the children.
Will def be on our list to re do.

Breakfast with 4 adults and 2 x 2 year olds.

Best breakfast buffet on property. The food never feels or tastes like it's been on show for a while mainly because it hasn't the kitchen staff are good at refreshing. I love the strawberry soup here. The kiddies station is great with breakfast pizza, our 2 year olds were into the sausages with mickey waffles and syrup and they loved it.

Servers are professional and very experienced here, they are excellent with the children and for a buffet I have no problem tipping 18% - 20% here because they rock!

Characters are fun, we had Mad Hatter, Sleeping Beauty, Pooh and Tigger

Place didn't seem mad or too noisy, we probably wouldn't eat here again without kids.

Although the Cape May Café is my favourite ‘hotel’ character breakfast, you can’t overlook 1900 Park Fare.

Firstly it’s proximity to the Magic Kingdom makes it a great option before heading to the park, particularly if you can’t get an ADR at Cindy’s or the Crystal Palace.

Kids love the characters here (Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter etc) and it’s the only breakfast buffet I have found with a soft serve ice cream machine making it an extra special treat! I’m pretty sure this is aimed at the kids but my Husbands inner child gets released and he always has to have some – I think it’s maybe the rebellion of having ice cream for breakfast!

When we’ve dined here we’ve found it quite busy and loud (like most Disney restaurants I guess!) but the service has always been lovely and friendly and the servers have never made us feel rushed.

This will remain one of my classics and should be done once on each trip.

This was our 5th trip to WDW but first on the DDP so we decided to take the opportunity to dine at different restaurants. 1900 PF seemed to have good reviews and so we reserved a breakfast reservation for a family of four...

It was our first visit to the GF and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is bright, clean - immaculate even - and you feel like you are surrounded by finery. On the day, the restaurant were experiencing computer problems however we were still seated within ten minutes of registering so no problems there. The restaurant itself continues with the superb decor of the GF and despite the fact that it was busy, the tables seemed far enough away from each other that you didn't feel like you were on top of other diners (more than can be said in other restaurants).

Our table was situated very near the buffet bar and immediately after our server had visited us, we scoured the food offerings with no disappointment. There was a fabulous selection of food and enough for anyone's tastes, our favourite being the fried eggs or omlettes made to order, the latter being configurable with a variety of fillings, e.g. cheese, ham, mushrooms, etc. My only criticism would be that the food was so delicious that it was very difficult to stop eating it!

It was very nice to see a couple of different characters than "the usual" however saying that, both Mary Poppins and Alice did seem like they were on the clock and hardly took breaths between "hi" and "bye". The Mad Hatter was very good although my young daughter was a little fearful of his strange appearance!

The service was fine and a good time was had by all.

In Summary:
Excellent food and the different characters were a welcome bonus, even if a couple of them were not quite up to scratch. We would definately dine here again.

We ate dinner here in September 2009. The queue to check in was long, and we weren't seated until some time after our ADR, which we didn't mind too much. When we sat down, we were at a table for 2 to the right of the restaurant and it felt very cramped (too many tables in that space) and people trying to walk through kept knocking our table, and I think this is what ruined the experience for us. The food selection was fantastic, I don't think there is a buffet with more variation on the property, and the character interaction was great; the stepsisters especially, though even as an adult, they scare me a little. It was lovely seeing Cinderella and the Prince dancing in the middle of the restaurant. We wouldn't return for dinner, but we'd be prepared to give breakfast a try.

We had a late dinner at 1900 Park Fare on Independence Day and had a wonderful time.

Character interaction was brilliant and we were visited several times by all of Cinderella, Prince Charming and those little mouse things. Having visited Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique earlier in the day, our daughter was in her full Cinderella garb which the characters reacted to as you'd expect.

The food was decent enough with a wide range that seemed fresh, but as the restaurant was full, I'd expect it was being replenished regularly.

A nice alternative to the classic 'Cindy meal' in the castle.

Interaction with the characters was great - our 5 year old son was dancing with one of the ugly sisters which made his day! The Ugly Sisters also bicker and screech quite a bit which is very entertaining. Food was pretty good for a buffet and the desserts were lovely. Service wasn't great - we were seated and then just left for quite a while with no drinks ordered and no instructions re buffet. Overall though very good.

Breakfast here was fab. The food was good but the characters were fantastic. We met Pooh and Tigger twice! Mary Poppins was nice and did say "that phrase" backwards for us! Alice was lovely but the best was the Mad Hatter! I highly recommend that you kiss him as when we did he started yelling that he was going to be sick - which was highly amusing (we really aren't that bad - honest!).
The whole thing was great fun and the resort is gorgeous.
To be honest I don't think we ate that much as we were having such fun with the characters that we didn't have time to eat! I wasn't fussed on the lobster eggs benedict but the rest was very good.

Food was excellent and the character interaction was fantastic. The Mad Hatter was so funny. I haven't laughed so much in ages. The girls 10 +13 had a fantastic time. I would certainly book to do this again

We booked for my birthday dinner as there were 4 ad and 4 ch and wanted somewhere Disney but not in a park. This fitted the bill. We were seated on a huge round table close to the centre of the restaurants and the characters kept picking on the kids. Especially Cinderella who wanted to dance with the boys, much to their embarassment. The food was plentiful and there was a good selection. I got a birthday cupcake as well! It wasn't the most fantastic food I have ever had but suited us well. We had a wander round outside after dinner and watched wishes across the lake, a lovely evening overall.

We ate here on xmas day last year and although my youngest DD loved it, I thought it was a bit over-priced compared to other character buffets. The food was Ok nothing special but CM's went out of their way to help you

We all really enjoyed our dinner here. The buffet was one of the best we had.

We had doubts about eating here as we have two small boys but they loved Cinderella etc.

Would def go there again next time.

We try to go here once every trip as we love it - classic food that everyone likes. Huge range - hot/cold/pastries. As always food was fab. However character interaction was not. The first time we have complained at a WDW restaurant. After nearly 2 hours (about only 45 mins of which was eating - the rest was waiting) we had only seen Pooh - none of the other characters had even reached our table, and Mary Poppins was nowhere to be seen! All our other experiences here have bee great. Hopefully it was just a one-off. Will be trying Cinderella's Gala Feast Dinner next year!

Fantastic experience - we were on a table of 8 in the centre and when Prince Charming and Cinderella can in and dancing striaght in front of us - Prince Charming turned around and ask my DD to dance!. I think she nearly passed out she was only 7 and beamed the rest of the day - he even kissed her hand at the end! This was the best year, all the characters were fantastic!
We went last year 2009 - not the same they were good but not that good - and i think it burst DD bubble as she whispered says they didnt look the same:(

We did this dinner following DD6 makeover at BBB she had chose cinderella for her makeover so this seemed the ideal place to eat. The food was great however we felt that we were ignored as we were at the back of the restaurant behind a post so found it difficult to watch the characters. When they did visit we felt very rushed, however the ugly sisters were very funny. This was our most expensive meal of the holiday and would probably not go back here again

Once again 1900 excelled. Having done Crystal Palace before, there really is no comparison. This is by far (IMHO) the best character breakfast on the propery. The interaction was fantastic. The variety of food and the quality is the best. We cant wait for our third visit!

The menu at this restaurant is very good, we had dinner and the shrimp was amazing, I tried the fabled strawberry soup it was delicious I had 3 helpings, there was plenty to chose from and we struggled to at dessert, character interaction not as good as some others but I think because its a pretty prawled out dining area the characters forget where they've been, but u do get the oppertunity to see prince charming and u have the fairy god mother in the lobby for photo, overall it was a very good dining experience and if u time it just right u can view wishes from the dock at GF

We've been trying ever since dining here to find a character breakfast as good.

It has the obvious benefit of being in the Grand Floridian, so you get a chance to look around at this stunning hotel as well.

The character interaction here was very good, with Mary Poppins in the reception area, and Pooh, Alice, Mad Hatter and Eeyore wandering between the tables.

Now, for the food! Excellent is the word that springs to mind. A very extensive selection (including Strawberry soup), and it is all very fresh, and very tasty. I can vouch for most things on the buffet as I tried it all!

It is of course all you can eat, and we did. This has to be one of the most enjoyable meals we've had on Disney property. Highly recommended to all.

Excellent character meal here. The food was plentiful, excellent choice and good qaulity. DD's x 2 loved the characters and it was probaly the longest time they had ever spent in a restaurant. They thouroughly enjoyed being able to go and choose food themselves from the buffet in between the characters coming round. We have returned several times since over the years and always enjoy the food and the setting.
