Artists Point
we were staying at Wilderness Lodge this time around for 5 nights as it worked out at only £100 more than OKW by the time we came to book, and it's somewhere I always wanted to stay.
It was so nice to be able to walk down to dinner at Artists Point from our room, and stumble back after
This was the bread, I think it's sourdough?:
And you can tell hubby's photo's were off this night as this is the only one I have of his pina colavas, and none of my mojitos
DH's cheese plate, again available as an appetiser or dessert on DDP
Kid's watermelon appetiser:
This was the entree of DH and myself (sorry Anniee
), from memory it was halibut or bass on polenta/zellwood sweetcorn and wild mushrooms, it was really tasty
And this is the customised version for DD1 with roasted potatoes and broccoli
DD2 had kids cedar plank salmon, mash and carrots
The blackberry cobbler with ice cream, one of DH's favourites:
I think this was mine, but possibly DD1's, it's the blackcurrant sorbet, very tart, a lovely end to the meal:
DD2 had the white chocolate puzzle, she had fun with the paints
Another solid meal here, it's not as frenzied as some of the other signatures, but not as intimate as others..we'll keep returning
