Mr and Mrs T's West Coast Tour - Day 3

Despite the wonderful experience of yesterday we managed to catch up with a bit of sleep. Well Elaine did, she did not wake up until 9.30! Once showered and dressed we left the Carriage House and on reaching the strip turned left.



Found the M&M shop and after a look round we decided we would return on our way back to the hotel later in the evening.

As we were up a bit late we were in need of a late breakfast. Found a food court and after looking at the various things on offer we decided on Pando Express! It was nice though.



Carried on slowly walking down the strip towards the Mandalay Bay. Stopped off at the MGM to sort out the buffet for later and the Ka tickets.

Walked through the hotel before crossing the road and into the Excaliber. Won a couple of dollars but not sure how!

It was lovely and warm as we made our way down to the Luxor. Not sure what I thought about this hotel. Don’t think it did anything for me but that is a personal opinion.

We wander down to the Mandalay Bay which was a nice hotel.

It was now after 4 p.m. so the dinner buffet was open at the MGM so we took a slow walk back. Checked into the reception at the buffet and paid for one meal with the other courtesy of MyVegas.

Our overall impression was that it was not as good as the Mirage the evening more. Not a great choice and you had to pay for your drinks. Even soft drinks you had to order through the server who would then bring them to you.

Time was now moving on and approaching when the doors would open for the Ka show at the MGM. We strolled back and entered the theatre. When we phoned up about buying a ticket to go with the free one we managed to get front row seats on the top tier which turned out to be a great position.



I am not going to spoil it for anyone who is thinking about go but just to say it was fantastic. That is why I am only posting one picture.

Left the show very happy with what we had seen and made our way to the m&m store where we purchased a few things for the grandchildren.

The ‘strange’ characters were out in force. We did see some strange sights. Some of which were not for the eyes of a lot of youngsters who were out with their parents.

Made our way back to the Carriage House where Elaine did on line check in for our United flight to San Francisco tomorrow morning.

I'm really not so fond of the bottom end of the Strip, and the characters are a bit... disturbing!

Lovely day I'm playing MyVegas in the hope of taking advantage of some tickets for our trip next year to one of the Cirque shows.

I don't find Vegas any weirder than Central London at night. Most big cities seem to have their fair share of oddballs. I always view Vegas as Blackpool without the fish and chips!
