Mr and Mrs T. Our West Coast adventure May 2016 - Saturday, May 21 Another relaxing day

Breakfast delivered to the room again and it does hit the spot. Showered and out of the door by 10.

Worked our way south pulling into various lay bys to admire the spectacular scenery.



First stop was Morro Bay. Managed to find a parking spot on the road before going for a stroll.

We felt a bit hungry and had lunch at the Dutchman Seafood House. Nice seafood with a view over the water.







Eventually left Morro Bay and continued south looking for any turn off we could find. Eventually we found ourselves in a little place called Avila Beach. What a lovely little find.





Lovely beach which was busy but also set up for a wedding. Great location for one as well.



Fancied an ice cream and found a little place called Hula Hut. Sold a bit of everything but the ice cream was lovely.





Did what we wanted to and went in search of petrol. Once the car was full we headed north making our way back to Moonstone Beach.

Called into Cambria and picked up a couple of salads at the Main Street Grill. 2 small salads that were huge.





Back to the inn to eat our tea and a glass of wine before deciding to go out for a long walk along the boardwalk to take in the spectacular views before we leave tomorrow.







Walked for about 2 miles. Had been looking out for whales during our stay and tonight we managed to see in the distance the water flume of a whale which also broke the surface. We were both really pleased to finally see one.

The White Water Inn is lit up in the evening and looks lovely. It is a really nice place to stay for a few nights

Had a lovely walk, just taking our time, taking in the lovely views. We then walked back to the room to pack for the next stage of our trip tomorrow.
