A Rainy Solo Trip Quest for Pandora June 2017 Day 7 - Pandora / MK Fireworks

June 10th 2017 Weather: AM Sun/Rain, PM Dull

I had been meaning to get to EMH but I had a sleep in and missed EMH so I had breakfast and headed out and arrived at Animal Kingdom around 8.40.

I was too early for my Navi River FP so with Flight of Passage having a 80 minute queue I decided to just do the standard queue and experience the queue line.

Wow the queue line is stunning and sets the scene for the ride and should be experienced once. I chatted with a couple around the queue line which helped with the time.

I got to the front of the queue line and was escorted to the single rider line and was sent straight through to the simulator.

Spoiler Alert.

We stood in the room for ages before being scanned and were told the door would open. It did not - someone opened the door - then a cast member told us we weren't supposed to be in that simulator and escorted us out. We were given a FP for Flight plus another FP for the park except Navi river.

It was time to ride Navi River so I enjoyed the boat ride again and still think it is a little short.

Then I tried to ride the Flight of Passage again, and it was not my day - it stopped 1/2 way through the ride again I was escorted out and got another FP to ride again.

I had a look in the shop and the t-shirt I wanted was not available in my size.

I then rode the safari ride (2nd FP)and spoke to a local who lived not far from Disney and often watched the fireworks from her house. We got stuck on the Safari ride due to a medical emergency on another truck and the ambulance was blocking the end of the ride.

It was still dry so I carried on and rode Everest (3rd FP).

I booked my free FP for The Lion King - as I had never seen it and the rain was coming down heavily again.

The Lion King was a really good show and I would like to see it again on my next trip.

It was heavily raining when it had finished and people did not want to leave the theatre. I waited somewhere dry until the rain had died down a bit and walked back to Pandora to use my FP on Flight of Passage - The experience was glitchy and we waited ages at each stage but we did get through the whole ride, it is a new ride so you will expect a few problems in the first few weeks.

I went back to the hotel and had pizza for tea and chatted with a family whilst eating my pizza. The rain had stopped so it was looking like a good night for fireworks.

I headed to MK and managed to book a 5th FP for Winnie the Pooh and rode the people transported on the way round to ride Winnie.

It was time to get spend a snack credit and I got a double scoop mint choc chip ice cream and found a spot to wait for the fireworks.

The sunset was nice this evening

Happliy Ever After fireworks were in my opinion better than Wishes and the projections on the Castle were fantastic and lots of fireworks.

I then waited for the crowds to leave and watch some of once upon a time before getting the bus back - not much of a queue for the bus.

Then I watched a bit more of Avatar and went to sleep.

Very excited to hear that you thought the new show was better than Wishes. I am really hoping to be wowed by it.
